As a CNA/HCA working in a hospital, it’s a pretty hard job. You do what the nurse’s are too busy to do, and are expected to work more closely with patients who carry airborne diseases that can seriously harm you. While Nurse’s carry more responsibility, we as CNA’s do all the physical labor; answer call lights, look closely after the patients, and clean up every bodily fluid a person can emit, and-depending on the facility you work for-do some of the Nurse’s job. Such as, taking out IV’s, passing meds, and even discontinuing catheters. I love what I do, don’t get me wrong, but I’m absolutely not going to do this forever. I’ve only does this for two years and I already have back problems, and I don’t get paid nearly as well as I believe people in this profession should. It’s a wonderful entry level, but not a definite career

I was studying to become on but realized it wasn’t for me so I quit. For the amount of pay they get, I could definitely flip burgers and make more….

With burn out and suicide rates being all high for doctors, we need to know that there are other options we can consider after med school. Unfortunately schools are only concerned with getting 100% match rates, and not what is the best for us students. Please make a vid for career alternatives for those with medical degrees who don't want to continue with residency.

LIKED AND SUBSCIBED! I'm planning on a career change into the allied med field so this helped with my research. Thinking of checking out Phlebotomist too

I’m wondering about emt/ paramedic? Rad tech? Surgical tech? Lpn? I can’t make up my mind tbh and wondering if I could get some feedback. Looking for actually helping patients, not doing paperwork all day.
