Thanks for the kind words Sam, honestly surprised that you managed a 40 minute play through of the map. As for the lack of life in the world It was because I was already struggling with AI spawning to begin with which I never got 100% working anyways

Great maps! Just gotta say though, FC6 is already suffering from having the editor removed. I played it for about 4 hours the other day, and when I started to get a little bored, I just... Logged off. Beforehand I could jump into the map editor or play a map, which offered so much replay value. Now either 1. Play story with a friend, 2. Play story by yourself. Only two options on how to play.

Excellent showcase as usual! Ghosts of Yara and Isla Escudo look like my favorites. Interesting storylines too! Congrats to all participants that made it in. :) Looking forward to the next showcase! Hopefully it'll be one I could get into and push myself into doing another map... I've just been so inactive with map making lately. Mix of being out of ideas, busy doing other things, and just getting bored with it.

I wonder why Ubisoft didn’t wanna include the Map Editor ??? I think it would’ve been awesome. Look how great the customization in Far Cry 6 is especially the weapons and just how they added tanks and all these new vehicles. Also Multiplayer PVP won’t return either just why ??? A map editor would work so well. We could create some awesome battlefield like experiences with all the new stuff in the game.

You know... i have an idea for a future main campaign. These are just the major story beats and they could work in many settings. So, your adventure takes place in some wartorn country or province of a country. Pick your favourite location and imagine that it happens there. Now, in the beginning of the game there are two millitia forces squaring off. The friendly millitia holds what i will call "major assets" (things like the largest city, the airport, a dam and other pieces of vital infrastructure) while the hostile millitia holds minor towns and the countryside. Your objective is to conquer the countryside like any other Far Cry game. I would allso give the millita units some artificial stupidity. They will frequently spray and pray with horrible accurasy, scattering bullets all over the place when they are alerted, especially their LMG troopers. (LMG troopers should allso not be bullet sponges anymore) It becomes appearant that the hostile millitia is backed by X-land. This could be a global power, a regional power, a neighbouring country or simply the central government of the country that you are in, pick whatever fits your setting. In missions you will frequently encounter military advisors from X-land, target arms shipments from X-land or fight covert special forces units sent in by X-land. Then, in what looks like the end game, when you finally take the main base of the hostile millita X-land decides that enough is enough and intervenes in the conflict. A timeskip later and the map is transformed. The season has changed, the friendly millitia is holding out in a hard to traverse place, the old outposts are abandoned or destroyed and the X-land army controlls the "major assets". They have set up a small number of propper military bases in places that were previously empty and their armored convoys roam the country roads. The X-land units allso have better trigger dicipline and small unit tactics than the millitias. Their soldiers are accurate and will fan out to flank the player while their LMG troopers or snipers force the player's head down. During this final third of the game the story objective is to destroy the bases to limit the reach of their convoys and to destroy the "major assets" to weaken their position, all in preparation for a final do or die counterattack against the largest city to drive X-land out of the region. The war ends, the friendly millitia wins but the region is devastated by the war. A bittersweet victory party is held, full of joy, melancholy, optimism and pessimism for the future. Allso, somebody should warn you that one of the major assets, aswell as the base that secures the road to it, needs to be left intact to give the X-land forces a tempting escape rout. It could be a port, a highway bridge across a gorge or the airport. It is important that they get a convenient escape rout out of the region by either land, water or air. If no rout is open they fight to the death and end up winning the final battle despite the player's success, resulting in a bad ending.

@@SamBuilds I might have to give em a go while I wait! To be honest I tried to mess around with map editor but wasn’t really good, but stuck around to see and play others amazing creations. It’s probably too late now, but I’m hoping for some Halloween maps from gothic vampire castles, laboratories or haunted forests! That being said I’m still hyped for those Aussie maps that one guy is making. Regardless FC6 inspired maps will have to serve as my FC6 fix for now, great video and review of what’s great about vs what can be improved on with the maps as always.
