amazing stadiums , russia has incredible capacity. brazil stadiums look nothing infront of these
@creativebenzin

In Brasil it used lot of classic stadiums 70 years old like Maracana, Beira Rio, Mineirão, this is the reason that some of those stadiuns look old. But I like more the stadiuns from Brazil and South Africa because there were more iconic, traditional, and unique. Russia Stadiuns look all the same inside the fild, coz the stands is the same in all stadiuns. Very boring.

I enjoy the videos. But you mentioned St Petersburg as Russias second city or you meant second largest city? and we can hear you speak about the cheezy ending, lol was this on purpose??

Thanks! We meant “second city”. And yes, the ending is in there deliberately, for fun (for the hardcore fans who listen right to the end!) 👍👍

St. Petersburg is the second Russian city by population and importance. But by the age it's not - it's just 316 years old. For example, Moscow is >850 years old, Veliky Novgorod - >1000 years and Derbent (on Dagestan Republic) - more than 2000 years old 🙂

Because in Russia we had just 3 new big stadiums before World Cup: Kazan Arena, Fisht Stadium and Lokomotiv Stadium. All other main arenas were build in Soviet times, from 1920's to 1980's, and were too old. Now, in 2019, we have 16 modern top-stadiums: excluding World Cup 2018 arenas they are RZD Arena (=Lokomotiv Stadium, FC Lokomotiv Moscow), Krasnodar Stadium (FC Krasnodar), VEB Arena (=CSKA Arena, FC CSKA Moscow) and VTB Arena (=Lev Yashin Dynamo Stadium, FC Dynamo Moscow) 🙂

Do you think the Ekaterinburg Stadium was a mistake? They must've known the required capacity before building began.
@MrMoccachinoo
@MrMoccachinoo 6 жыл бұрын
tdyerwestfield the stadium was build in 1957 of course with the capacity it was needed back than. - so no mistake! Because the original facade is under monumental protection they would not tear down the whole stadium but integrate the modernized elements into the existing stadium. I think it’s a good idea to build a temporary tribune, which can be removed after the games, as Jekaterinenburg will never need such a huge stadium. As opposed to this the stadiums in StPetersburg, Moscow and Sotschi will need those capacity also after the games (e.g. for concerts and other sport events)
@tdyerwestfield
@tdyerwestfield 6 жыл бұрын
If the restrictions were so tight because of the facade that they have to build stands outside of the stadium just to get enough seating, why didn't they just build a new stadium and leave the old and beautiful stadium untouched?
@MrMoccachinoo
@MrMoccachinoo 6 жыл бұрын
First of all money doesn’t grow on trees and I guess Russia doesn’t want to end up like Brazil building lots of stadium wich nobody uses. What’s the sense of heaving two Studiums? I don’t get it? Further it’s not that easy to place a stadium in a urban area, you need a huge amount of space, infrastructure etc. so why not use a existing with excellent public transport and already build roads? Secondly as you could imagine a over 50 year old stadium needs to be renovated time after time, so modernization would happen anyway.
@tdyerwestfield
@tdyerwestfield 6 жыл бұрын
MrMoccachinoo Money must grow on trees in Russia. They're spending over $10billion on the World Cup, they spent $90billion on the Winter Olympics just 4 years ago. Money isn't a problem. Sochi is a ghost town now with an F1 circuit in the middle. I don't think Russia care about what happens after hosting these events at all. They got the Winter Olympics and World Cup thanks to corruption and huge bribes anyway.
@MrMoccachinoo
@MrMoccachinoo 6 жыл бұрын
Yes Russia has money, but they don`t throw it out of the window. All Stadiums are going to be used after the events (also for further events). ``Sochi is a ghost town now`` Have you ever been there? Sotchi is absolutly crowded, as well as a winter ski resort as well es for summer holidays. The infrastructure of the whole region and between Moscow and Adler has massevly improoved (new roads and good railway connection). I don`t know where you`re informations come from, but they dont have much in common with the reality. Also you perhaps could explaine me how a city with 420.000 inhabitants (2017), 5.2 million tourists (2016), numerous sport events, 70 schools, a more than 1500 year old history can be described as a ghost city??? You probably think Russia dosen`t care, but i see how the whole region has massevly improved and is now ready for future. Tell me one country wich hasn`t bribed for getting those games? Even Germany has (www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/korruption-bei-der-fifa-wie-deutschland-die-wm-bekam-1.1413203#redirectedFromLandingpage)

How bout Wembley? Building cost just shy of 1.4 billion in today’s dollars. And let’s get this right yeh - there isn’t a retractable roof to cover the playing field. A Pakistani American called Shahid Khan tables a $600 million bid. If approved, NFL football will be the most frequent attraction of Wembley. Now, if you agree with me that American football is nothing but rugby for cowards and pom-pom girls, how is THIS any better for ordinary English folks?
