I really wish there were more places which served Hyderbadi style Haleem. Last time I had was a year back when "Soda Bottle Opener walla" use to sell it but they took it out of the menu (the best one yet) it was made with pure ghee and it was amazing.

It's always very interesting and funny how names of dishes remain the same but the dish in itself will be completely different in different regions. In Kolkata, what they serve you in the name of “haleem” is actually a “dal-eem”, which is a fantastic dish in my opinion. Haleem is the one which in Barkaas they are serving as ‘Hyderabadi Haleem’. That only is haleem.

Nothing beats hyderabadi haleem. Missing pista house, grill 9, shah ghouse, 555 etc The texture i see is horrible. Missing dear haleem in bengal. Its a 1500 to 2000 cr business for 1 month.

The worst part about Kolkata Haleem is that none of the Haleem outlets have Haleem available during late evening. It would have been pretty good for office goers to get a taste of Haleem if there was even one place serving during the late evening dinner time.

Mr Zaman sorry to say that kolkatas haleem are the shortkart one.. Hyderabad is authentic you know.. smashed thicky sticky glossy texture are the characteristics of it... kolkatas don't match it
