Alternatively, they could release another overpriced, overly complicated, less safe single action only striker fired gun with a super crispy trigger that’s exactly like all the other overpriced, overly complicated less safe, single action guns with super crispy triggers. If they went this route, they could also get away from 40 years of magazine and holster compatibility. That would be awesome!

The S&W No-Lock revolvers absolutely stole the show this year for me. Never in a million years did I think that S&W would finally come to their senses after over two decades of perpetuating that ugly keyhole, but I'm glad they finally came around. Kudos to Jason Cloessner at Lipsey's, consultants like Darryl Bolke from AFR, and the new folks at S&W management like Andrew Gore that were actually open to changing things for the better. I'll be picking up a new no-lock Model 10 and a no-lock 686+ Mountain Gun as soon as I can find them in store. The AFR grips on the new Ultimate Carry Ti revolvers look stellar too, and I can confirm that 32 Long and 32 H&R are a total pleasure to shoot in a J-frame compared to 38/357. That P7 is sweet and was also completely unexpected. Guess I'll have to work on selling various organs of mine in order to save for it. Thanks for the excellent coverage of the show, as always!

As for me, my guns are unloaded and locked in the safes EXCEPT the loaded handgun attached to my hip whenever I am not in bed or in the shower. The safest place to keep a loaded handgun in a home is ON YOU under your control. I collect S&Ws and have never bought one with the 'lock' and never would.

I agree with everything you said; but as an owner of S&Ws with the internal lock (I like the shrouded hammer models), I've never experienced any issues with them. I think it's overhyped the amount of pushback they get even though I'm ecstatic to see the internal locks go the way of the dodo. I think about it like I do grip safeties on 1911/2011s. Do I want/like them? No. Can they cause a problem? Possibly. Do they create any issues as long as you maintain your firearm and train with it? Not that I've ever seen IRL.

Great video ❤ I just don't know about paying 7-800 dollars for a revolver when there are way better options out there ie... the canik prime....JS

There are a lot of FUDDs like me that appreciate the no lock S&W revolvers coming back. I WILL get in line to get one of the new / old Chief Specials. Why? I do not currently have one! They are cool, they work...still. They are concealable, and life is short! Why shouldn't I enjoy my time left here. I have a bushel of pistols, can't ever wear them out. Same for other revolvers as well. I do not NEED anything in the gun world. This gun I just want it. No other reason to get it.

Might as well mount a CRT monitor on a Glock

The Kel-tec is interesting for sure. The one thing about not having a mag is if you have jams and not having the ability to pull mag and clear. It might be a good range toy for the price.

James is by far the funniest MF in the gun industry.

KelTec jam-o-matic that can’t be cleaned is dangerously stupid.

Don’t worry only 50% will function like most keltecs. Innovative but with shit quality control.

Oh I'm buying a Glock 19 COA, that's for sure. Also the new Lipsey's S&W pistol line looks neat and may also be a purchase just so it can sit in the safe next to Big Daddy Dan Wesson .357. Dad's Dan Wesson .357 was always his go-to problem solver whenever the locals got out-of-hand and I inherited it and continue that fine tradition.

The retro Smith revolvers are the first wheel guns I've been remotely curious about in years. The chief special might just find it's way into my safe.

Aimpoint achieved a great weight reduction from 61g to 48g! A fifth less. Not having mounting screws inside the housing helps.

Downgrading the size of the microwave box attached prob helped some 😂

@@matthewbeaver5026 Thing is if they can't rearrange some of the insides it might not be doable to remove so much.
