@@TheRipeTomatoFarms I'm somehow sure you've done it before, but maybe a video (or update) about basic growing indoors for cooking? I started with growing a few spices, but also now do spring onions, tiny Tim's, and garlic. I constantly harvest, and replant them when needed. Your content has definitely inspired and helped get it right. I find i don't want to overdo it because of time and have to make choices about is right to have on hand. Even that part is fun and interesting, but im sure different for everyone. Thx again and keep up the great work. 👍

I do something similar for herb germination, except I use single ply toilet paper or tissue instead of a paper towel. When the seeds germinate, they break right through the paper, which breaks down into the top layer of soil. That way I don't have to worry about removing the paper towel.

Nice one! I should really start some herbs indoors 😋 I’m in the same area as you and I can back you up on the cold hardiness of cilantro. @@TheRipeTomatoFarms I don’t remember exactly when it sprouted, it was a while ago now. I remember I had bought a little pot of cilantro and I never got around to planting them. They of course went to seed so I just decided to bury the whole small plant in one of my raised beds 😝 Then it all sprouted late in the season very densely and made it through the winter. Some type of cover like a milk jug or something probably would have been perfect to keep it clean from the splashing rain on the soil.

Love this video. Great infor. And loved how you illustrated a newbie like me watching my seedlings and watering them constantly! Im guilty, lol. Question, so I transplanted my cilantro in a pot that does not have drain holes in it. Can I transplant them again without killing the seedlings? @TheRipeTomatoFarms
@TheRipeTomatoFarms Жыл бұрын
I think you can Kin if you can move the entire soil profile as a block without disturbing the plants. That way, they won't even know they've been transplanted. Cilantro also does grow fast enough that you COULD get away with no drainage and careful watering.....
