Hey great video! Interesting hearing what others are running into. I would say I also see issues with power outages, the ISP and configuration drift. I would say lately I see a lot of bugs on network devices that need to be rebooted or even need their power cables pulled. I think another problem is documentation sprawl with many different places for documentation and standards to remember that also change. I’d say my recent issue is having too many systems to import my network device into. It would be nice if I could put my system info into one database and have everything else updated.

Thanks for watching! When you say “database” are you saying you need a central location to enter network info and it provision based on that? I’m actually working on something similar. If you’re interested if be happy to help.

Good topic. Mislabeled cables or fibers. Bad information is worse than no information.

I can relate to this. When I first moved into my environment now the cables were color coded but not labeled. I thought it was a good idea just poorly executed because even though they had a system to identify devices by color code roles, it meant almost nothing because in a situation of trying to re-cable or determine a physical outage, it was no help and practically useless. Thanks for leaving a comment!

Exactly! We work hand and hand but at the end of the day, some of the users are the ones brining in the revenue.
