Great video, all livestock have excellent merits to them. Just for everyones fyi, bees don't forage but up to about 1-1.5 miles radius of their hives +/-. Not hundreds of miles..lol. but good point, they are great thieves. Keep up the good work....

It has been ages since the algorythm has give me a good recommendation. Beautiful episode, fantastic cons on the bees and the quails was completely unexpected mention and information. Will definitely have a snoop around your channel.

Thank you so much! I’m working to improve and product more content! I’m just getting started. It’s a work in progress, but I’d love to know what you’d be most interested in learning more about!

@@foodfarmfinance From my point of view, I'd say keep on trucking with what you are doing now. Perhaps including what won't work in certain climate conditions would be helpful, but you can't patronize folks either.

16:31 Honeybees DON'T forage a 100 mile radius, that isn't even remotely close! You should check with real bee keepers that know how far the bees travel which is usually up to 2-3 miles away from the hive. So they can be getting nectar and pollen from areas that has had pesticides, fungicides and herbicides used, which something that you have to keep in mind.
@foodfarmfinanceАй бұрын
Thank you so much for correcting me! 😊 Looks like they max out around 5-6 miles but most stay within a mile or two from the hive. Looking forward to learning more and getting more first hand experience in spring! I had that way wrong. 100 miles was wayyyy off. I knew that didn’t seem right.😅 Great points on dealing with what other people are putting out there and spraying on their plants! As a huge consideration for me is the safety and quality of my food which I guess you may have less control over with bees due to their harvest radius. Thanks so much for watching along and keeping me in line!
@BlahBlah122-b2tАй бұрын
@foodfarmfinance I suspect it depends heavily on what they can find close by and if they can't find enough then they continue to go further out until they find what they need. A good point is try to discourage any nearby neighbors of planting rhododendron shrubs because those make toxic honey. A couple of shrubs in a few miles radius won't be a serious problem, but better off without them.

Dude.. This is a good video with a lot of great information. But if you actually took the time to edit your videos, like you elude to (WITHIN THE VIDEO!) they could be great. Please focus on properly editing your videos in the future. Maybe you dont want to do it because you hate your voice or your hate your look or your're just too busy or too lazy. idk. But you're already going through all the effort to make the video... Editing it properly is your next best step to getting a following - whether you want that for YT revenue or even just to share what you've learned with more people. The sad truth is that KZbin will show your videos to more people based on how well your videos do with the people already seeing them. More quality effort translates almost directly to more quality views. That's one big reason why KZbin is still the king of this video sharing domain, after all these years.

Thanks so much for the feedback.😊 Admittedly I’m just starting and working towards building my editing skills. I don’t really have the best equipment right now. Not even a computer. 😂I know it needs work. But I know if I don’t just start posting and sharing then I never will. For me consistency is important, I’ll build the editing skills along the way. I hope you’ll stick around with me to see that growth.☺️ I’ll get there! Hoping to really up my game in the next few weeks once I get some new editing software!

Constant gesturing is extremely distracting. Almost like you're dancing! I had to keep the phone away to just listen. Still... sorry but this is cringe. I just can't go through this video 👎

Thanks so much for your feedback. I talk with my hands. Always have, always will. 💕 Perhaps you’d enjoy my podcast. I have always had the hand gestures for radio. 😂

Get a grip. That comment is rude and adds nothing to the discussion.
