Love it. My favorite is the Mill at the bottom of chair 2 in Mammoth. The pulled pork sandwich, salads and Tuesday tacos are as dood as they come. Beautiful atmosphere on a sunny day with kicked back sunbathers on the massive deck. Awnings for those of us who prefer shade.

Owl bar Sundance easy number 1

What a great recommendation. I've been to Sundance many times but never visited the Owl Bar. I'll have to add it to my list as I generally get there once a year.

On the backside of Schweitzer in northern Idaho there's a small ski in bar and restaurant where they smoke some delicious brisket, definitely tops my list

Also there's another bar and restaurant at Brian Head in southern Utah, I don't think it's on the resort but it's right by the base, last time I was there was last season and they had 2 massive slices of pizza and a beer for $8, definitely the go to for cheap food by the resort.

Having been fortunate to have skied Snow Basin frequently for several seasons I definitely agree with you choice. The entire lodge and restaurant are phenomenal. The food is excellent, the staff are dressed up, the fire places are huge, there are leather couches, chairs and flat screen TV and the restrooms have granite counter tops and gold fixtures. I have been to Deer Valley but would rate Snow Basin higher.

Glad you like the choice. I like the lodges at Snowbasin and think the food is great too.

I totally agree with Deer Valley and Snow Basin. I can’t argue with your other choices, as I either haven’t been to the resort or haven’t dined at the same places. I will just put a plug in for Caberfae in Michigan for the best French Fries. 👍🏻

Maybe I should do a list of "Best ski resort French Fries."

The pulled pork poutine at Whistler is to behold. Arapahoe Basin is home to the highest elevated restaurant in North America with Il Rifugio (italian food) as well as amazing fresh options at the Black Mountain lodge (seasoned waffle fries and bison chilli), and the fresh Salmon chowder breadbowls with handcut sweet potato fries at Mt. Baker ski area)

Any place that has cheap hot chow is for me. In Wisconsin I get a brat, chips and beer for $6

Brighton had the most resonable prices out of any ski resort ive been too including more home resorts back east whitetail and liberty. sugarbush was overpriced. i choose to not eat and shred all day. the price gouging is outragous. for nothing spectacular. Snowbasin does have the best bathrooms in the indusrty. I thought i walked into some place i was not supposed to be lol 😂 😂

I agree that prices can be outrageous. But then again, skiing is not for the bargain hunter.

I like the new restaurant at the top of Snowbird. You have to sit in the 2nd floor and enjoy the 360 view down Peruvian, Gad, and Mineral Basin sides. It’s the same cafeteria food Snowbird offers elsewhere but the views are amazing.

You are right, the views are amazing and the food is pretty good. It just doesn't compare to the other restaurants on this list.

New Belgium Ranger Station at Snowmass....maybe not so much for lunch (I'm more a bag of almonds guy) but probably my favorite on mountain restaurant due to the variety of New Belgium beers that aren't released to the rest of the U.S.
