@@kyo1223 I listened. She has a nice voice BUT Mariahs is just one of a kind. I literally get chills, hear range and tone are heavenly and soulful, yet poweful but airy and light. These are God given vocal abilities. Hence why her songs are so hard to sing beyond just being high in range.

Judges often tell people not to do a Mariah song and people think it's because Mariah can sing high and uses her whistle register...that's only a small part of it. A lot of people can sing very high and can utilize whistles register -- it's about how Mariah's voice moves, the transitions and the complexities of the runs, the tones and textures and the resonance and the breath support that is needed. The agility of her voice and that she can sing and do runs in her upper whistle register. That is what makes Mariah in a class all by herself. These performances were great but you can hear how Christina skipped over some runs and difficult parts, Elah was fading by the middle of the song...had a hard time sustaining. Without you is not a Mariah song so I'll skip that one. Elise was great but she struggled to get up there at some points. Same for the My All. The bottom line is if you do a Mariah song, rearrange it and lower the key to suit you. Don't try to be Mariah because you can't. Nobody can. Some people have come close, but no cigar.
