Yes, that's true that the starts somewhat differ. But, both decks are very strong because of the same card (Grief) being present despite Modern Horizons 3 bringing more tools to the table Which drives the point that Grief still needs to be Banned in Modern despite the Spotlight being on Nadu. If the 3 cards (Nadu, One Ring and Grief) are banned, Modern becomes a better format.

I had four decks in modern pre mh3. No matter how I shake it I’ll have to spend 350 American to build any one of the new decks. Unless I can win store credit with my no new cards burn deck for a few months. Wish me luck! 🍀

Save money from your job and in the meantime test which deck you like to invest $ in. Maybe the meta shapes up in your favor as well, GL.

This metagame is absolutely horrendous even if Nadu didn’t exist. The fact no eldrazi or tron decks are even on this list are crazy…

I said before I dont think Nadu is broken enough to be banned, atleast in the way decks that play it are. It's really strong and hard to interact with but we should expect some "better"/more refined Nadu deck to pop up in like 2-3 months. I want to see what happens when people play this dressdowns and other cards that stop effects. I was surprised we didnt see "final showdown" as tech in the white decks but that's probably because I like the card. I dont like banning cards on principle, hope someone finds decks that prey on Nadu.

The bird is the most broken thing since Hogaak, maybe worse. If it's effect was only once per turn, it might be more balanced.
