my grandfather bought a used ambassador in 1991 for 90K. Been thru numerous accidents, buy he was never hurt.. built like a tank... re-painted and re-modified it multiple times over.. the engine just kept running and there was never a drop in the mileage. He passed away in 2014 and we sold it a couple of months later for 45k.. A decision we regret to this day..

Having clocked many a mile on the mark3 amby, I can vouch for its road worthiness and ease of use. The driver had it a bit difficult due to the angled steering but otherwise a good car . A real pity they never tried to upgrade it. Looks and space modification would have done a whale of a difference even with the newbies with their fuel efficiency.
