I think what the Saints did was wrong, if that was their intent they should have lined up in a run formation. The problem with faking this play is that the defense isn't going 100% it's a player safety issue and the league should make a rule against it that would actually matter like a fine/suspension of the head coach. I'm not demonizing Winston, I'm second guessing a decision he made in a split second for reasons that at the time I think made sense to him with the luxury of a lot more time and thought than he had. The league needs to make a rule that would stop this though and I know in this instance that the team didn't execute the called play but I still think this is ultimately something that you'd have to penalize the head coach for because if that rule was in place I'm betting Winston doesn't allow the offense to out-vote the coach.
