especially when nerd ass white knight Negreanu is blindly piggybacking Laak's slow-roll claim. phil's play was fine there, even if he thinks he's way ahead. it's not a given that a wildcard amateur auto-calls there with almost 40K behind. not to mention, phil couldve been a dick and ran it once if he wanted. man, negreanu really irks me.

That is for live cash games only, typically with high stakes. If the players agree, they will "run it" x-number of times from the spot when all the chips went in. It acts as a bit of luck protection for both players (best hand reduces the chance to lose everything to a bad beat, worst hand increases the chance to get at least a fraction of the pot). It has been around for a while, but most televised poker is tournaments (where it's not allowed) and plebs like us don't play cash games with blinds of $100+, so it's not seen too much.

That's just it.. He isn't folding there with the Ace. Most players would consider that a slow roll. Especially from a guy that will only call with that hand hoping to trap AK or KK.. with what he called with. And there's only truly one, maybe two hands he's worried about after the flop. He's over thinking it because he hates to lose and be wrong. But he needs to learn that it's okay to lose and be wrong.
