For those not Gundam savvy, the name Continuous Punch is a reference to a move the Nu Gundam can do in the Gundam Vs games(notation being CC8b), which originated in the Char’s Counterattack movie, where after losing all its weapons the Nu Gundam proceeds to punch an enemy suit over and over.

I've seen people yell so much over this one, just like LoL players haha. The Horse Racing game - Pretty much a whole lot of oji-sans getting salty since its just like betting at the horse races. Kancolle Arcade - similar to the Bomber Girl case, whole bunch of weebs wanting to collect the rare cards for shipgirls and unwilling to get up.

Yo real talk, I was a top 50 competitive Bomberman player back when Bomberman Live released on XBLA with nearly a 60% win rate. I played that for like, 3 years solid from 2007, and had over 6000 hours. There were some bad apples, but mostly good people, I even had people talk about me on 2ch back in the day. Konami absorbing Hudson kinda killed off the scene though, but at least we have Super Bomberman R Online now which, while isn't perfect, is at least something with decent netcode. You could tell who was good just based on their movement and understandings of bomb timings. It's a real shame that the competitive Bomberman scene isn't acknowledged by practically anyone anywhere. Even though I rep shmups, that's at least somewhat of an active scene, whereas the competitive Bomberman players had nowhere to go. Mostly Japan and Brazil had active scenes, being in NZ I was stuck with Japanese players which was fine in my book. Most people I talk to are surprised to find out there's even such a thing as competitive Bomberman, then I show them Bomberman Live or Bomberman Online videos circa 2009 of mid, advanced, and high level play. I still remember all the skilled players notable on 360, it was good stuff. Having said that I'm pretty sure most people who play Bombergirl aren't original Bomberman players or competitive Bomberman players for that matter, so it's a different kind of community. I just saw Bombergirl and was like "yeah, whatever" and I wouldn't be at all surprised if many people who were used to the default map/kick/punch/bomb/full fire competitive setting were able to take it seriously. I think competitive Bomberman could have been a real esport if it were handled properly.

Have you heard about "Power Bomberman"? It's like the ultimate fangame with better netcode than Super R Online, it has 400 characters to unlock, over 40 stages, multiple game modes, a lot of items from different games of the franchise, etc It's truly a hidden gem that more fans should try out.

Maximum Tune I can wholeheartedly agree with, it’s toxic everywhere even here in Australia where Maximum Tune is very popular. There’s a big “elitist” culture surrounding Maximum Tune. I never even said anything. It wasn't even in response to anything, he was just doing it with every breath. I laughed so hard that I lost the first round, but I did beat him in the end. Subsequent experiences were pretty similar. And the hate messages, man. That's why I had to turn off messaging for people not on My friends list. Personally I don't think I've ever encountered toxic people I don't know maybe it's higher up in the ranks? since when is smoking not allowed anymore? In tachikawa sega arcade you still can smoke at the tekken/gundam/streetfighters cabinet and in the taito arcade they have smoking room and in hachioji you have the smoking place near the initial D and tekken cabinets. plus if you want to smuggle alcohol inside an arcade buy a 700ml evian watter bottle and 2 strong zero chu hi 9% 500ml empty the water bottle on the street and fill the booze inside the evian bottle then no one realize because chu hi 9% is vodka without color so you can get drunk and smoke in an arcade. i hope this helps my fellow gamers in japan.

Funny that Gundam is in the list, considering that the Latin-American Gundam community has like, 3 people, and they're all super nice and eager to get you to play with them In fact, if a community is reeeeaaaly small, chances are they're super nice, like the brazilian +R community (it being named +BR is a nice touch)

WMMT: It's the game when ramming your cars and using Mazda cars (especially RX7 and RX8) is the only way to win. (I'm using is Nissan R33 back then).

If you go to a smaller/countryside arcade you can find old games.

Putting out the cig on the machine? Disgusting. If that was my place, I would ban that person immediately.

Gundam VS love that game and even in Hong-Kong 6yrs ago I can see the Toxic oozing out of the players :P

Sounds like there's bound to be some toxicity no matter what you play at the arcade.

Extreme VS is hella toxic. It's like why play the game when you literally can't lol. Surprised at the Taiko Drum Master one though. I always never saw anybody on those machines in the Odawara area.

6:48 "Number 1, the most toxic, this is obvious, I knew this one." I know this sounds made up, but the moment he said that, _I got a Fortnite invasion ad._
