Oh come on fandom, Garbador and Trubbish aren't THAT bad. If you're going to design a Pokemon line after bags of garbage then I don't know if you could ask for better. To be honest, when I first saw Garbador I thought it was kind of charming because its whittle ears make it look subtly like a chubby mouse or a rat, which is actually kind of clever and thoughtful to include in the design of a Pokemon based on trash.

I think people don't like Garbodor because they don't realize what he represents. He is part of what I like to call the "Pollution Trio" which is made up of it's, the Muk, and Wheezing families, and each are the physical incarnations land, water, and air pollution respectively. They're Pokedex entries, typing, and origins represent the idea that if we don't take care of our planet it while have dire consequences and may even bring about less than desirable life...that or I'm reading into this waaaaay to much.

I was doing a nuzlocke in x and y, and all my pokemon died to the second gym trainers, so i got desperate and got a luvdisk from that beach area. It stayed with me to the very end and even defeated mega gardivoir on It's own! I use luvdisks regularly now during my run throughs

My philosophy is: You shouldn't go by design. If that Pokémon has decent stats and can actually last in a fight, it has a purpose and is useful in my eyes. I got nothing on Unkown though, it's just gimmicky and incapable of battling, no other way to describe it.

I love all these Pokemon. And not just because other people hate them and I'm a reverse hipster. I liked them before it was cool to hate them. My brother and I loved Mr. Mime as kids because he was colorful and quirky, Garbodor is based on the trash problem in New York City (aka Unova where Garbodor is found) and is excellent social commentary and teaches kids and adults adults alike about why it's important to reduce, reuse and recycle. Also, Magikarp has a great design, I loved finding all the Unown and completing the Unowndex and I actually used Luvdisc all the time at the Battle Frontier. In my opinion, there are no "bad Pokemon", just misunderstood Pokemon :)

I love garbador. Un-ironically. When I first saw it, I've always thought to was pretty neat. The fact that the designers were actually able to anthropomorphise a heap of trash exploding from a garbage bag is actually kinda impressive. Also, I love jynx. Foxy The Pirate Fox IKR! the only nitpick I have with Garbodor, is his Stats and Move Pool don't Mix all that well. By this I mean he's a Poison Type with a TERRIBLE Special Attack Stat, and its Highest Stat being Attack! Now, that would be fine and all, if not for one thing: The Only Physical Poison Move he can learn is "Gunk Shot". Seriously, If he's a Physical Attacker, and a Poison Type, Why can't he learn Poison Jab, Poison Fang, Poison Tail, or Poison Sting? Well, maybe not Poison Sting, but My point is: What's the Point of having Physical Attack, if you can't learn any Physical Stabbing Moves?

Think About it: Magikarp is 22 Pounds. in one of It's PokeDex Entries, it States that it can Leap over a Mountain. So, With this Weight, If Pokemon were Real, and you happened to be Standing under a Mountain, a Magikarp Falling Could Kill You, It Would completely Crush Your Skull, Instantly Killing You. And What if that Magikarp Evolved while leaping over that mountain :3?

To be quite honest, I hated almost all the poison type pokemon in gen 1. They were so easily pulverized by psychic types, I felt no need to use one. I hated Muk especially. It was ugly. It really took poison types having an advantage over Fairy for me to appreciate them again.

You not only forgot to mention that Magikarp can learn Bounce (and Flail), but you totally got the mechanics of Hidden Power wrong. It may have the "normal type" on the stat screen, but it's actually a random type depending on the IVs of any Pokemon. This is how it's worked since the move was introduced back in Gold and Silver.

#5 - The argument about Mr. Mime is exactly right, however with the new Fairy Type I think it's actually more popular that you gave credit for. #4 - You're completely right on Garbodor... #3 - I think Feebas is the better example for the same reason you put for Luvdisk. #2 - Unown has an interesting story to me. Also Hidden Power has a random type for Hidden Power. It's only declared Normal at first in order to not make any move the ??? Type, like Curse for a non-ghost type is. #1 - Luvdisk is very useful when hunting for Heart Scales. It's actually hated because it was not the pre-evolved form of Alomomola, like many expected it to be.

Garbodor gets a lot more hate than it deserves, in my opinion. Most people say something like "REALLY, GAMEFREAK, A TRASH POKEMON? THEY'RE REALLY RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS." without actually thinking about why it's a Pokemon at all. Think about it. There's Grimer, which signifies water pollution, Koffing, which signifies air pollution, and Trubbish, which signifies land pollution. When they evolve, nothing good comes out of it besides being a stronger Pokemon, of course. Muk is just more water pollution which isn't good and if you think about it, Grimer and Muk kind of look like an animal that's covered in sludge, and more sludge makes it harder to move, which would explain why Muk looks like it's collapsing on itself, Even the name Weezing is bad and it deforms into some mutated atrocity. Garbodor just can't contain the sheer amount of garbage within it, possibly referring to what's going to happen to the world if we keep piling up our trash.

I hate Garbador being compared to Muk. Muk isn't made of fucking trash, that's the difference. The problem with Garbador is that nobody wanted a Pokemon based on literal trash. few people like Pokemon based on things as it is, and Muk/Grimer could still pass as snails or something. I think Unknown are essentially what all Pokemon were at one point. A Pokemon can come into being by either having an Unknown transform into it somehow or they can possess an object. Or maybe Unknowns can merge with humans/creatures to make Pokemon. I dont know just a theory.

Before anything I say, I wanna say thanks for not putting Zubat as the most unloved pokemon, or in the list. I know countless people hate going through a cave and every step they meet a Zubat that doesn't allow them to escape. (I mean you guys can just faint them or use repels! Or use a Pokemon that has a run away ability. Where do you expect bat pokemon to live? Duh in cavses...) Mr.Mime: I find it interesting, I don't hate it or not love it. Other psychic pokemon seem more interesting to more people. Garbordar: I find it interesting! I like it better than Trubbish though. It just seems more fun to battle with I guess. Magikarp: Shut up guys, Magikarp is awesome! I would say I am really patient and had even named it Nemo for fun! I even brought it off that man in the game cause I didn't want him to keep it and it just needed love, which is what all this is all about. Unknown: I also find that this is more of a story than really needed, you can tell because of the moveset. They weren't really wanting to add it, it was just a story type thing. Luvdisc: When me and my cousins first saw this pokemon we were hyped. We were so amazed by it. True I've never used it, but it seems sorta special. X) I'm surprised Dunsparce isn't in the list, I am not a fan of that Pokemon, same goes for Miltank.

Actually Magikarp's moves(despite shallow)consist of ~Flail,Tackle(early gens) and Bounce(in X&Y) so that's useful. And "Luvdisc" can learn water moves and is decent if she's leveled up(like to 50/more) and can also learn Flail.

Luvdisc is complete bullshit. Its stats suck ass. Its movepool is OK, but there aren't really any creative ways to use all of these moves while you have bad stats. It can't take ONE HIT. It doesn't evolve. The only thing it's useful for is catching it, stealing its held Heart Scale, and releasing it! Also, about its Pokedex entry....so let's say Pokémon were real and you're hanging out with your Pokémon, your friends, and their Pokémon. Then you decide to go fishing, hoping to catch something good like a Magikarp (so you can evolve it and be a MLG noscoper with a Gyarados), and you come across a Luvdisc. It thinks you and one of your friends are gay, so it "blesses" 2 GUYS/GIRLS with eternal love. Or it may make you fall in love with a girl/guy you really hate. I've always thought about it that way. LUVDISC WANTS US TO LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE EVERYONE IS GAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or spending the rest of their life, time, and money with someone they hate! Luvdisc's design is also bad. I mean, I know it's supposed to be a heart fish or some bullcrap, but it always looked like a dick with a ballsack to me. *Luv*disc deserves no *luv*.

While Hidden Power appears to be a Normal-type attack when you view it on the battle menu or anywhere in the game, Hidden Power is every other type besides Normal (and Fairy starting in Gen VI). For example, my Vaporeon in Y would have a Dark-type Hidden Power if I were to teach it to him where as my Jolteon in Black 2 has an Ice-type Hidden Power.

I love Unown for some reason. Maybe like you said "bland", but hey, in Pokemon Silver one is in my party. I like how you can spell the out and hidden power helped me win a gym battle when I was about to loose, so I wouldn't hate on them. I like them a lot.

To be honest, Magikarp is more loved than hated, it is one of those pokemon which people like to hate on as a joke, but still like it in general (A similar case would be bidoof or alolan exeggutor)

Luvdisc is my most HATED Pokemon. I mean seriously, a heart shaped fish. Come on. I see SO many of them and I'm SICK and tired of it. You'd also think it would evolve into Alomomola but NOPE. Still a useless piece of crap who's only good for heart scale farming.

Haha. The first shiny I got was Spinda in Pokemon Sapphire. I managed to trade it all the way up to Soul Silver. Then I have Staraptor, Milotic, Seaking, Weezing, Crobat, Machoke, and Eevee on that game as well. I wish I could trade them to X version...*sobs*

My first shiny was a Tentacool when I was surfing on my HeartGold. Then when I started my White, I find a completely random shiny Lilipup. I didn't use cheats, they just appeared.

I got a Luvdisc witch is now level 91, she is one of the best water type Pokemon out there, it helped me beat the elite four and it took out a few Pokemon the champion had in Pokemon in X/Y. I haven't used Luvdisc in my AS yet but that is mostly because i have been busy getting 1 of every Pokemon so far i got 718/719

The only pokemon I disliked for their design was the Vanilice/Lux thing. I just feel pretty sad that my now favorite pokemon evolution lines (Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure) are the subject of being terrible designs. I really liked Litwick's design after first seeing him in XY, and loved having one with me, even more so that they're based on Japanese Folklore.

Back in the days of blue, red and yellow, Mr. mime was very precious because it was really rare and powerful so it had love. Garbador may lack in design but so does Muk but still it is used to express the pollution of men. I love the Unowns because I liked to collect them all, I even have the ! and ?. Why don't people like them? They're letters of the alphabet and it was chool back im middle school to use them to send messages to my schoolmates. Vanilluxe is adorable! It's a decent ice type and I also really like its design. I don't understand why people hate it so much, i had one in my team in White. Ludvisc may not be useful in combat but it's still a cute Pokémon and carries one of the best items in the game. Just catch and release or use the move to take what's got (I dunno the name in English, sorry) and it'll be of good use. But more importantly: it's the Pokémon of love! Its Pokedex entry is just the cutest thing ever. Now Stunkfish on the other hand deserves nothing but to be asked why it's so useless.
