Godzilla vs. Kong is a verifiable 9 channel bed layer Atmos soundtrack with front wide speakers. Rarely do we get Blu-ray Ultra HDs with 9 channel bed layer. Most are 7 channel bed layer.

Got a chuckle out of me with Moonfall. Got that one myself. For me, top dumb-good movie is Pacific Rim in 3D. I'll never forget the look my son gave me while watching it.

Great video! As difficult as it is to say, all of these movies should be owned by anyone with a decent home theatre setup. These movies start as terrible status on a tv and become reference level demos on a good system that will bring a smile to your face. Great list, I own them all and am looking forward to watching moonfall on my system for the first time.

Jurassic World Dominion is the only Jurassic Park film I didn't see at the theater. I could tell how poor it was and had to miss out.

I was thinking of getting Midway on regular Blu-ray as it carries an Atmos track too. On my 43" Philips set the CGI might look preferable to that of the 4K version?

Moonfall is my Atmos demo movie, all the space stuff and the eruption at the end are very immersive even on my Atmos soundbar. It is rather large and I have the surround speakers just higher than ear level angled downward. My theater room is set up perfectly, low ceilings and s wall on each side so everything is symmetrical

Hello! I really like your channel! I would be curious, maybe in a future video, to find out your opinions about Dolby Surround and Neural:X up-mixers for movies. Do you use them for movies without Atmos or DTS:X? If so, which do you think is better? Which one do you like more? I personally use the upmixers for any movie/tv show that doesn't have Atmos/DTS:X because they make the experience much more immersive compared to if I listened only on bed layers speakers. Preferably, I like Neural:X more..

Auro3d (if your receiver has it, like on Denon) does a good job of up mixing if the disc doesn't have ATMOS. Especially if it's a 7.1 mix which is the core layer for all ATMOS mixes

I found a lot of movies remade in 4k don't have Dolby Atmos??? Jurassic world domination wasn't that bad especially when he was being chased on motorcycle throughout the streets by the Raptors. But to me without Back surround and top Atmos speakers your truly missing out on the real surround sound. My setup sounds a lot better when I added these speakers.

Despite all the evidence to the contrary, there are movies that are so incomprehensibly bad that they end up being hilariously funny. Not that you'd ever consider re-watching them ( unless you substitute their soundtrack with something like "Atom Heart Mother")

Midway was the first thought I had when I saw the title lol. What makes it crazy is a lot of the stuff that really happened is in the movie, but it just looks so artificial. Amazing 4 channel overhead usage, most movies use 2.
