Vasco da Gama being the first European to come to india is just stupid... We had Greeks coming to India 300yrs before common Era and South India traded with Romans for centuries which is the reason why Vasco even came to india to trade... And trade is not like strafing stocks sitting in the comfort of their homes... People came to india on months long journey and stayed here for months buying what they can sell and selling what they brought with them...
@dhairiyasundar12852 жыл бұрын
Exactly. We've had international trade existing with India a very long time before Vasco da gama
@darkheart6964 Жыл бұрын

@PaulAllen63042 жыл бұрын
Vasco Da-Gama was not the first European to come to India. He was the first European to come to India after the Ottomans blocked the spice route. North India had been open to European invasions since the begining because Greeks, Macedonians, Huns etc. all came in through there. And South India has had strong relations with Ancient Roman Empire.

VdeG was the first European of the 2nd half of the 2nd millennium to find a sea route from Europe to India, to avoid taxes and duties, and to cut out the Arabic middle men. The earlier Europeans came by land routes, or by boat from the Red Sea to India. There had been trade as far as Egypt for about 10,000 years. The Jews of Israel had been in India for over 3,500 years. By 2,000 years ago there were over 6 dozen trading ships traveling from the red sea every year.

WE USED TO BE ADVANCED IN PRECIOUS METALS MINING AND METALLURGY THAT WE USED TO TRADE SILVER CUTLERY TO EUROPEAN NOBLES ( HENCE THE PROVERB BORN WITH SILVER SPOON). FAMOUS BIBLICAL KING SOLOMON HAD INDIAN AMBASSADOR IN HIS COURT. @@goldvisionps Alexander the So So was the first one we have historic evidence of coming with an army. Small groups or individuals coming for trade or just as tourists are possible, just not proven. Rome traded heavily with India. At least it purchased a great deal from India. It nearly went bankrupt from sending so much gold to pay for those goods. It did not have anything the Indians wanted at that time to be able to sell in India and get some of that gold back. The Roman Senate had to pass a law to stop Romans from buying so much from India, Arabia, and China.

Ramayana epic timeline is debatable..1.7 million years is one of the many timelines. Some say ramayana epic happened10k years back or 50k and so on. Because its so old, its easily possible that nature destroyed their evidence and other invaders throughout the history destroyed the evidences. There are a lot of evidences of ram and krishna. Dwarka underwater town, sita cave in nashik. If those things were not from ramayana or mahabharata epic, then how could the people who wrote those epics and story knew about each and every place especially dwarka which is underwater and those stone bridge or ram going to Cambodia? Either they travelled the entire continent and then wrote the epic which would still not explain how could they know about underwater place like dwarka or the epics of ramayana and mahabharata were real not completely but there might be some truth to those mythological stories snd epic which heavily uses symbolism.

The rock is real as well. Also in this place if you dig a bit near the beach you get sweet water not salty. This goes with a story of Ramayana where Rama had got sweet water for his wife to drink with help of an arrow . It should be your point to visit. In the ramayan ram wasnt actually working and fighting alongside monkeys, they were meaning to indicate that Ram was interecting with another species of early humans, most likely Homo erectus or Homo antecessor. The timelines do actually add up, its cool. Also the whole thing of painting people like ram and krishna blue actually had a scientific, medical reasoning too. They did this because most likely those people who , again were proven to have lived, had diets rich in copper rather than iron therefore turning thier skin darker and almost blueish. another reason for this is because the sky to us is vast and infinite so why not color a god figure the color of the sky. :)
