Ff7 is old school nowadays. You have to play it sometime. Hands down the best story , best characters, & my favorite spell for any FF game, Knights Of the Realm.

@backinthedaygamer . Hey, that's cool. Yes, the ps1 version. Ff7 is the one game I recommend to any RPG fan. The game cut scenes are beautiful also & still hold up today. It was way ahead of its time, in my opinion.

I bought my original Final Fantasy at Toys R Us when I was a kid. I remember you had to count the hit points on the enemies when attacking them. If not, you could be just be attacking the air and at times you would regret it, especially in dungeons fighting the hardest enemies. The remastered FF1 from the Gameboy Advanced and so on fixed that. The newcomers will never know what we had to go through.

I just recently beat monster party and Super Contra. I think your right about Final Fantasy being more expensive. I feel like it was around 30 to 35 back in the day.

I have that FF book too. Had it for many years. MP has some of my fav bosses. The onion ring & the fried shrimp always make me laugh. GnG is tough but fun. I actually beat the Big Men House the 1st try when capturing footage. I don't think that's ever happened b4?

Man, these are great picks. It’s crazy to me that Super C is a cheaper game than OG Contra, you’d think it would be the other way around since Contra was and is much more popular. By the way I completely agree with you: Super C is the better game but Contra will always be my favorite.

Jackal is such a great game! I had a real tough time beating the final boss but I can say I did it. I was playing Bayou Billy a little while ago. It's NES hard for sure.

The demo is out for the new Contra game. I tried it out last night. It was okay. I think I would go back to the OG more often than this new take. It doesn't seem like a 40 dollar title but at 20 bucks I might bite.

How can call these fantastic when 2 of them are bad?!?! Final Fantasy is an RPG so it automatically sucks. You almost pulled me back in with Super C, the GREATEST game on the NES. Ghost N Goblins is so bad and broken, nobody should waste $1 on it. Monster Party is great and I haven't play Crystalis. Take off those two bad games and some LJN bangers on there and then you have yourself a list!

Zelda 1 is an adventure game. Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link is an action RPG. No RPG elements in the first Zelda just attack and get items.
