The Falken AT3W is the best tire I have ever owned. They work in every situation amazingly. I have had the same set (285/75/16) for about 4 years on my 80 series Land Cruiser. I am in Minnesota so I deal with a lot of snow and ice but I have taken them west to the mountains and all over the deserts of Utah and beyond multiple times and they work great! The wear characteristics are amazing...maybe too good as I want to go up a size but mine still have so much tread it would be stupid to do it now. They are IMHO way better than the KM2.

I too live in Minnesota and ran the A/T3Ws when they first came out and agree with you, they are extremely good in snow and any terrain you encounter. I am currently running the Toyo Open Country A/T III's which are nearly identical to the Falkens and feel they are equal in terms of performance. My wife runs the Falken A/T Trails on her 2018 Explorer Sport and I can attest to their capabilities as well. I'd definitely run the Falkens and Toyos over BFG's.

I have the Falken wildpeak atw3 on my 2013 f-150 fx4 275/70/18. It's my daily driver. I love them. In wet heavy rain they don't hydroplain. I can go 75 mph in heavy rain and no issues. They are amazing in deep snow on trails or on the hwy. In sand they are great. Logging roads ect..now they don't like the red clay we have in Oregon. But no AT tires does. I also ran them on a Sequoia for 3 years. It was my wife's daily. She drove 90.miles a day round trip to work.5 days a week. After 3 years they still had lots of life left and no hydroplaining issues. I highly recommend them

Currently running Hercules Terra Trac ATII 285/70R17 and they are amazing! Been out on the dunes and in rain and they are amazing. The wildpeak AT3W's I have on my ram 1500 absolutely destroy snow. I live in the northeast and I actually look forward to driving in snow because they are so good. I LOVE MY FALKEN WILD PEAK A/T on my 2017 VOLVO XC60! Secure, capable and quiet overall. I didn’t lose much in mileage from 27 mpg to 25 on highway. Definitely a muscular performing tire I’d recommend. Light to medium off roading and performs very well in the rain and snow. Walmart had them marked down from $1,496 to just $400 for the set. They were special ordered and never picked up. I thought that was a great deal and they’ve made me very happy.

I run the Falken wildpeak AT3W on my gx460 and absolutely love them. Have them in snow in the mountains of West Virginia all winter and they have gobs of grip and never leave me stranded or worried that my rig isn’t going where I point it. The Falken AT3W became my favorite tire quickly! I cannot give it enough praise if you are in the snow regularly! I ran it on my Power Wagon in Colorado and Wyoming and loved it, snow performance was the best outside of a studded tire I’ve had, road noise was great, and it wheeled hard in the summer and saw a lot of abuse. I’ve since then sold the wagon and got a Ford Bronco and will consider the Falken Wildpeak M/T after wearing out the stock Sasquatch tires and moving to a 37”

@@joeyiacoban1381 So far so good! I live near Mt Hood and with the recent snows I haven't really had any major issues to note other than a bit more road noise which I don't mind. They've got me in and out of most of the areas I like to cruise in the winter. I will say that it looks to be about a 1-2 mpg loss for daily driving due to the added weight but really impressed with pushing my way out of 2-3 ft snow for about 20 miles with no chains. Definitely liking them more than my ATW3 and love the aggressive look of them. I'm fixing to head to TX so I'll post some feed back on the 2k miles cross country.

@@joeyiacoban1381 Hey Joey, just did 2300 miles across the country in all kinds of weather. On road was overall similar to my previous ATW3s but I messed with pressures twice. Discount put them at 45 cold so they were running 47 with some heat in them and I ended up bumping them down 38 cold so they’d sit at 40. I had some weight on my truck but loving the experience. Drove through a bit of snow and ice and had to make some quick maneuvers to avoid an accident (low speed black ice spot) but nothing but praise to report. Now I’m in dry climate and some rough roads and they are still pretty solid with the bilstein 5100s I’m running as well. Definitely recommend them at this point!

I have the at 3w on my 2005 f150. 275/65/18. I did not use lt tires just standard rating. I’m in Michigan and have been running them since April. Could not be happier with their performance everywhere except deep mud. In mud they perform better than most all terrains but they still load up as expected. In sand and dirt they do great. Wet roads are no problem. Hard packed snow and ice they handle with ease. Deep snow and slush have been no problem for these tires. You can handle any winter conditions with confidence! I will definitely be buying them again when the time comes. I also have a plow on this truck and it was easy plowing 12” of snow.

I’m running Falken Wildpeak AT3W on my 15’ Jeep Grand Cherokee and I freaking LOVE Them! They’ve done immaculate in the snow and ice so far and wet conditions in general. They ride amazing, they are quiet, they look really good in person, and I’ve had a guy at work that said he switched from KO2’s to Wildpeaks because the KO2’s weren’t as good in rain, but he said the Falkens did just as good as the more expensive name brand KO2’s in winter. I ordered a set of these Mickey Thompson's for my 2011 F250 off of Tire Rack. Replacing the 7 year old Ironman A/T's that are on it now, which have been mediocre at best. I ordered a full set of 5 to replace my spare as well, and still sitting on my stock 17" wheels. Hopefully these new tires will offers some noticable improvements in handling characteristics, and at the least they'll also look significantly better. I live out on the southern Oregon coast, but I work over the road as a long haul trucker. So when I take home time off I have to drive from my company yard to home through a bunch of windy sloping mountain and coastal roads in various weather conditions. About 150 miles one way. Down the road I was thinking of upgrading my suspension, brakes, and wheels too. The stock wheels get the job done, but don't exactly look the greatest. I kinda like the simple appearance of the method wheels, not super flashy, but they look good and are well built.

Falken at3ws are fantastic in all conditions until they get to 1/2 tread (9-10/32) and they lose to much grip especially wet grip and they need to be replaced. i think the MT bajaboss A/T compound and design keeps its wet traction farther through its life and still has decent wet grip when its down to 1/3 tread (6-7/32) tread life remaining. basically you get about 3/32 or about 10k miles of more usable wet/snow traction out of the Baja boss at in my experience on my toyota 4runner.

So I’m going to be looking at the mickey boss at next.

Falken AT3Ws are great! I'm on my second set. Had them on my F150 and now on my F250 Tremor. Excellent wear, even towing a 10,000 lb travel trailer 8000 miles this summer. The AT3Ws are great in wet and snowy conditions as well. I live in Washington state, so we have plenty of wet roads and the AT3W is great. Road noise is low. I have had Duratracs, BFG ATs, and Coopers, and the Falkens are superior to all those for wet, snow, towing, and anything short of heavier mud. If your buying anything "35 or smaller, it's not the same demands as someone running "37+ all the time. My Scouts see HD towing and plowing duties all year round up in NW Montana. Sometimes its chains or you can't get home. The General Grabber X3 is my best bang for the buck, perfect for chains, off road durability tire of choice. Not to mention they give my trucks an aggressive stance that looks all business.

I have the Yokohama Geolander on my Subaru Outback, and I love them. It was difficult to find a set of AT or RT tires that fit it, and anything more was pretty much impossible to find. So I went with the Geolander which was quite affordable and have been quite happy with them. This is my daily driver and as such sees mostly on road use, though I do hit some trails once in a while, nothing to crazy being a sedan. I've had them a bit over 2 years now, and they're still in really good condition. They've performed well through 2 winters. Now I'd go with something different on a Jeep or something that I'd be doing more and more aggressive off road driving with, but these are a great daily driver/occasional light off road use tire.

I have to AT3Ws on my 2020 Silverado RST Z71 with 3.0 Duramax. It’s a mostly daily driver for my wife’s commute so it sees mainly hwy/interstate driving. We do occasionally take it off road and I don’t have any complaints with traction, but I have had issues with uneven wear. The only other downside I’ve noticed so far is the weight, there tires are heavy for an all terrain imho, saw a 6mpg drop right away. I also have a JL ecodiesel that is in desperate need of tires and I plan on trying out those new Trail Terrain tires from BFG as that is my daily driver and I would like something that is relatively lightweight, has good on road manners but can handle a variety of off roading as well

It would be interesting to see how the Mickey Thompsons do after about 10,000 miles. That siping will be gone and their snow performance will diminish. That's where I think the Falken outshines them all. The performance characteristics of the Falken should last the life of the tire for the most part.

No. Almost 20k miles here on my BBAT’s. The siping is deep. For what I’ve run, there’s no way I’d step down to the Falken. Those sidewall biters are no joke. Great wet, dry, excellent mud performance. I’ve heard snow performance is great from a Colorado native. I’ve not been on sand either but based on the tread pattern and my experience, I see no downside coming. The tires are still quiet rotating every 5k. They are heavy though.

Ran the Falken Wildpeaks on my Wrangler for a year. They were fantastic on every terrain except mud. In the wet clay they became racing slicks made of mud and would not self clean at any speed. I had a set of the Falken Wildpeak AT3W on my F-150 and at first i was pretty dang happy with them but then after 2 years and about 4-5 32nds run off of them they got very squirrely in any kind of snow pack and ice, to the point of me sliding through stop signs even when approaching at 10 mph or less. So when this first started happening i thought it was the brakes locking up and i went through and put new brakes all the way around with the same issue occurring. So i recently replaced them with the Cooper Rugged Trek after much research and deliberation. I looked at the Toyo Open Country C/T, Hankook Dynapro X/T, Mastercraft CXT, Hercules Terra Trac T/G, The Nitto Ridge Grappler Hybrid and the Nitto Exo Grappler AWT. I can't really give a review on the Coopers yet because we don't have much snow on the ground and the streets are clear. My first impressions of them though is that they are very quiet for how open they are and not as stiff as the Falkens with 40 lbs of air. I forgot to mention the size is 275/65R18 10 ply.

How are you liking the Rugged Treks? I went to en E rated Mastercraft on my F150 and it doesn’t like the extra rotational mass of the E rated (16# heavier per tire), lost 4-6 MPG on interstate, so going back to stock size P rated. How’s MPG on them?

I have 85k on my Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 on my Tahoe. 305/55/20. One finally failed. Still had good tread, but went flat on a drive home from work. Upon inspection there was a section of the belt hanging out between the inner sidewall and rim bead. There's no point in just replacing the bad tire with this kind of mileage. It appears my tires have been phased out for the current Baja Boss. Anyhow, the hunt for new tires begins.
