Right? No matter how well it's cooked, you can't compare a rib-eye to a chicken breast. Both can be very good, just different. And cooking them the same way can be disastrous.

Angelo's, and John's Roast Pork was on the list to try unfortunately we were in Philly for business and had limited time on our last day to try and knock out all the steaks we could try on our last day in Philly. Beautiful city and very nice people. Maybe we only saw a part of the city but, we have no idea why people would think this city is dangerous. We loved our time in Philly, and we are looking forward to going back to the same convention next year so we can try the two places we missed on our list plus the Cafe Carmela that we our glad you could add to our list for next time.

@@ItzBwo I don’t know if there’s a planet where John’s or Carmela’s are even top 5. John’s absolutely uses the wrong bread for steaks. It’s perfect for wet pork, but totally wrong for steaks. Top 3 is absolutely Jim’s, Dallessandro’s, and by popular decree, Angelo’s. (Assuming Jim’s is the same after the rebuild. Early reviews say maybe not.)

The line was crazy long, but it took about 25 minutes for a full turnaround. We ordered and got our sandwiches really fast. Dalessandro's steaks are a must try place. Say it with me... Ish-Ka-Bibble. "In his 1989 autobiography, (Merwyn) Bogue explained his stage name, which he took from the lyrics of one of his comedic songs, "Isch ga-bibble." The song derived from a mock-Yiddish expression, "Ische ga bibble?", which was purported to mean "I should worry?", prompting a curious (and perhaps not coincidental) association with the "What, me worry?" motto of Mad Magazine's mascot, Alfred E. Neuman. While this derivation has been widely quoted on the Internet and elsewhere, the expression "ische ga bibble" is not Yiddish and in fact contains no Yiddish words at all. However, there is a Yiddish expression, "nisht gefidlt," meaning "it doesn't matter to me," from which the term "ish kabibble" may derive." "A pair of eateries selling cheesesteaks and other sandwiches on South Street in Philadelphia is named Ishkabibble's.[8] Their featured beverage is the Gremlin, a half-grape juice, half-lemonade concoction." So there ya go. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ish_Kabibble

I played it down in the video just because we are doing a Philly steak review. It is a must try. Thanks for letting us know Jims is back open. We look forward to enjoying your city again next year.
