After playing with the 6.0 Ruby, I realized there is an aspect of control that is rarely mentioned in paddle reviews. The calculations for 'power' and 'pop' need to be divided into two zones. On the Ruby, "Sweet Spot Pop" is low/good, but "Off Center Pop" is high/bad. My opinion is that paddles should not behave radically different in these two categories or else the paddle should receive a lower overall "Control" score. My Infinity DBD also behaves slightly different from sweet to off center, they all do to some extent, but I'm just saying, it's another crucial "control" stat that is not being measured. There needs to put a metric on it. Equation would be something like this: (Sweet Spot Power % - Off Center Power %) + (Sweeet Spot Pop % - Off Center Pop %) / 2 = Zone Imbalance % (which is a factor that subtracts from overall control)

Thanks for another great review. Your content keeps getting better and better. Really appreciate the authenticity of your reviews. They are both informative and enjoyable. Question: How does the Hudef Mage Pro rank in comparison with these paddles?

This paddle immediately elevated my game. The longer handle makes it very easy to handle and maneuver. The dwell time and control is excellent. I feel much more in tune with my game with this paddle

Thanks for the review of the best control paddles! I've been using the M2F16 full time for over a month now. What a great, game improving paddle. One of the other top reviewers said this paddle helped reduce his unforced errors. That's been my experience as well. As my soft game improved with this paddle, so have my game results. I came from elongated paddles and had no problem at all with the shorter length of the M2F16.

I've found that to be true, as well! When I go from elongated to a shorter paddle, it usually takes me a couple games or so to dial in where the sweet spot should be for me to hold the paddle, but after that I don't even notice I'm playing with a shorter paddle!

Thanks for the detailed review. I'm wanting to find a control paddle that compares to the LUXX. I love the feel, but the paint grit face is bunk. A guy I play with has went through 5 in 5 months.

Agreed... very hard to recommend a paddle to anyone, in good conscience, knowing it will only perform at a high level for a very short time... most of us can't afford to replace those paddles on a regular basis!

Great video. Ordered the Neonic Flow based on your review and with your code. Can't wait to get it. Sounds like a pretty good all-around paddle at a great value.

I'm just starting out and ordered the aiso centric paddle from your best budget and beginner friendly videos can't wait to see how it feels, especially coming from cheap wood paddles. (Also used code PBMED thanks btw)

@@PickleballMedicine i happen to have 4 paddles on your list so i can vouch that they are amazing control paddles. The Neonic is the only one I dont have…..yet. Lol

Haha wow, that is seriously impressive!! Since we have so many paddles in common... what would you say your ranked top 5 is??

@@PickleballMedicinei like your list. Think I would add the Pickleball Apes Energy S to it as I like the kevlar feel. The M2F is so controllable I would have to agree with you that its #1. I think that bit if extra spin puts it over the top.
@PickleballMedicine8 ай бұрын
Agreed, I think the Proline Energy S would make a really strong argument to be on the list.. I think what may have kept it off for me was that I think of it more as an all-court paddle, but really, it does the job of control really well and could easily compete with some of the best control paddles.

I have a feeling some kevlar paddles will dethrone the M2F soon but damn is it a great paddle!
@PickleballMedicine8 ай бұрын
Yeah, I agree.. I think kevlar will take over most aspects of the market... I'm keeping my eye out for the Apollo when it comes in for control, particularly! 👀

@@PickleballMedicine Yea thats my pick for the kevlar paddle that could dethrone the M2F but thats gonna take a lot

I own the 6.0 RUBY Pickleball Paddle...it's Awesome! Good control and spin..and the Kevlar face is different from the carbon or fiberglass paddle faces which lasts longer...they're hard to get but once you own one you won't be disappointed!

Hard to get is an understatement! When they are taking orders, they sell out in minutes! Pretty nuts...
