@@adryanserafica3466 yes thats true... it was mentioned by the national director shamcey supsup that they really need to cut the number of people backs stage inorder to comply with the rules and regulations imposed by the government .... shamcey also emphasized that they trained for hair and make up and they need to apply it in the competition...its a challenge but somehow girls really need to improve that skill especially in the international competition...

Well Davao city delivered as expected, I dunno with the judges why she never get an award, Swimsuit she nailed it like no other, and evening gown tho it's a simple gown but she rocks the stage like no other also. She give me the Miss Universe vibes but the other girls were just like walking in a Flores de Mayo sort of thing I don't like it.

Thanks, Siera and Leighton! Not hearing that you guys have a wow factor reaction, PH may have a weak batch for this year. Still hoping for the best to come out from this batch of girls. Considering that our country is still in quarantine, their momentum is quite being held back from them. But most of them did their best. Thank you for your honesty! Not rude in the least! I was watching the gown competition and was underwhelmed to the point of thinking 'did I miss something?'. Spot on review. I think I'm now at 1) Davao City, 2) Paranaque, 3) Makati 4) Iloilo City. I actually did really like Pasay's gown. It takes confidence to pull something off that's so outside the box, reminded me of how no one but Olivia Jordan could have pulled off that pink gown at Miss USA. As for Quezon City, sadly....the gown wore her instead of the other way around.

Covid really has a big impact on this: 1. Make up could have been more uniform and better if they have been allowed a group of make up artist like in MU - the Chi. I mean atleast just that part so it will be more miss universe vibe in make up that might bring out the gowns’ beauty. Or candidates could have been taught and agreed to have a standard MU like look. I mean, we have this going on early this year so we have actually more time “online” to teach the girls. (Or maybe it is part of the challenge) But we are losing bets because of candidates doing their own make ups that could have been prevented if the MUP organization and gov’t could have been more lenient or supportive. I think there’s still some ways to meet the needs and safety to have a better production and showmanship. 2. Production - it could have been better if they have more people to do technical stuff and to achieve that kind of MU format production so it will not be looking dull, boring and sad. I mean, again, we have this since the earlier part of the year where prod staffs could have used the opportunity to meet more and talk through meeting apps like zoom, ms teams or skype, etc to talk things through while we are also teaching the girls online the standard look make up for MUP. I might be saying things too early and we do not know if they have put all their best efforts and energies on the crowning day. Hopefully that is the case. But still, we could have done something better that can make prelims and finals both look good when it comes to production. 3. Walks - It is understandable on the part that due to Covid, the girls have some challenges to meet and do the actual hands-on pasarela training. But on the other side, constant video meetings can still do the trick to atleast give the girls idea on how they will do the standard acceptable MU walk. I fear that we only have few months left for the MU pageant. So the MUP org should really do a rigorous training to whoever will be the winner. Normally we select rep in Bb. Pilipinas around April so we have also time to tone the body of the PH rep for MU. But given the remaining months left, hopefully MUP Org can do something to the body of the MUP winner and make it more MU ready. -more thinking out of the box amidst Covid to have a better chance for the MU Crown considering we MUST be the winner this year since the crown will be coming from SA. It has been a back and forth between PH and SA for the crown and it is really a disappointment if we are the ones who will cut that trend. But l know MUP Org are doing their best to push things through despite of so many obstacles so I also want to commend them for that and for their hard work. I know that they learned something from this to make it better next year. I want to give them credit for their first launch of MUP. 😘🤗

I agree about the hairs because if you've noticed most if not all of these ladies have eaither simple straight or wavy but not dramtically curly hair and some are wearing a ready-made bun because as you know they are on their own since stylists and make up artists were not allowed. I think more than putting up make-up on themselves, fixing and styling the hair is a major challenge. But kudos to them for pulling it off because some honestly admitted that they don't know how to put make up on themselves before this pandemic happened. Always watching your meaningful reviews guys. Alaiza is one of the typical filipina who grew up in rural area who experience the poor family when she wasa child and she deserve to have a spot wither MUP 2020.she is very stunning.on her answers about thpreliminary questions shows that she was a natural typical filipina who answer questions through her heart and where she came from.no drama no phrases.its just natural.just so you know.never watched pageants in life but so interested when you guys on youtube talking about the country my country that i grew up.by the way i live in the milk city of Canada that every 5minutes weather changes lol✌.
