The coolant problem was solved in 2011 when they started to install a separate oil cooler. They did this on all 2nd Gen Frontiers afterwards.

If you have a code for catalyst in efficiency PO402 I believe depending on which bank I noticed that gasoline if you’re buying regular gasoline, some of them are just missing some component that affects the efficiency of the catalytic converter when I started putting Mid grade or the premium fuel, the check engine light would go out so before you replace the catalytic converters you should check and see if it’s a fuel quality problem. Try putting a bottle of that Techron fuel treatment in your tank and running it for a while and see if the problem disappears. Just go to your auto parts store or buy one of those code scanners they’re cheap and clear your codes and see if they come back. Another thing when buying parts from aftermarket see if you can buy parts that are made from the Japanese manufacturer, but sold under another name. Just look on the part itself because some of these aftermarket parts are total junk. They cut corners and will make intermittent problems a diagnostic nightmare.

You won't have problem #5 if you have a manual transmission or your vehicle was built after 2009.

You won't have the problem with coolant and transmission fluid mixing if you have a manual transmission.
