I spent a while farming for a cloning maddening tracker and got it. Probably because it’s farmable from a vending machine it’s easier to get than a vindicator ghast call. The rates are different but the process of acquiring is so much easier.

The skill distribution on a seein’ dead isn’t going to drastically change your damage output, all the skills are good depending on your build. You should be focusing on the passives imo.

I believe the rarest item I've seen is the "One-Shotter Shield". In the whole time playing since the launch, I've only ever gotten 2 and they were both found in vending machines.

Same. I have like 8 or 9 CMTs and have found most of them on my lvl 72 zane. But not a single 1shotter shield or even triple absorb shield over about my 800hrs.

I've had several cmt's and triple rolled nades but never a triple shield. Day one player probably 800+ hours into this game. On a side note I once had either a kielbasa or a Balogna Pony with an alien barrel. I cleaned my bank and threw it out. Never seen another one.

I've got a Level 7 Non-Elemental Boom Sickle. Got it to drop off the Electro Skag outside the Base in The Droughts. I also have a Level 72 Fire Boom Sickle. :D I also have several CMTs, but I'm trying to acquire a Level 72 one. I do have a Level 72 Transfusion Maddening Tracker on my Fl4k though. It's just as good as the CMT is on Moze. One toss of the TMT = Instant Full Health.

its interesting to me that the CMT was in the top slot. Ive seen 10+ just from my own farming. But ive never seen a max level fixative longbow, nor a one shotter shield despite having farmed for all three at the same time. Also i guess an important point to consider on this list is that for something like a CMT, you can buy that out of a vending machine where that vending machine can have many grenades in it Whereas an item like the vindicator ghast call is much harder to farm and technically has an artificially reduced drop rate due to the time investment a single haunt run takes

CMT isn't that hard. I found one at level 33 on my first playthrough (incidentally, as Moze) in the sanctuary vending machine. Found 2 more since hitting 72. I've found one this week lol. And I don't farm them. I just always check the machines.

Maybe niche, but it would be cool to see a list of top five most powerful non-legendary weapons you can use competitively. Maybe even in each color variety, like No. 5 is the best Epic, No. 4 the best Rare, No.3 the best Uncommon, and so on. If there's even good Uncommons & such that are usable at end game.

Masher variant on the stonethrower is insane!! Also a super low drop rate though. I got it on my first play through of bounty of blood and I used it from level 49-61. Only dropped off after that against bosses. Still great for mobbing though! Using an elemental amara build and most things die in one to two shots. Still trying to farm another because it was so insane!!

I've gotten every one of those listed except divurian firestorm grenade. Haunt dropped me a Vindator Ghast call just last week, and I got one at the 57 lvl when that was max, and at 60 when that was max. All my cutpurse launchpads have been world dropped, same with boom sickles and class mods. Only Cloning Maddening have I actually looked for, but they honestly show up more often than all the others in the list. But I have farming characters that are right next to ammo machines, so I just check them during each run, and I can honestly say I can get a cloning maddening once a month.

I have noticed to get a CMT the best vending machine is on Athena at the vending machines just before you cross the bridge. Where I got most of my maddening trackers from including the cloning one.

From my experience I've found the one shotter shield to be the rarest. Lol I have like 80 days worth of log time into this game and I have NEVER saw it once. I came across a CMT like 12 times. My earliest time seeing it was at lvl 48 back before people found out it was meta.

00:56 I think your rationale was that a specific mix of parts on random blues and purples is more rare than anything, should preclude CMT from this list. It should replace Diluvian Firestorm as the honorable mention. When you calculate percentages that require a mix of several fixed parts, the numbers shrink. Which is why you had the screed against this kind of thinking. But the CMT having its number 1 ranking is due to the very math you’re trying to exclude. Basically, you’re doing for the CMT what you said you didn’t want done. Taking this logic further, instead of the generic +5 Antifreeze, now I want specific passives. That should make it #1. Or how about a calculation that includes the amount of time per attempt. CMT is from any vending machine, and doesn’t require a huge ordeal before even having a chance at its acquisition. That kind of thinking could skew the math away from CMT at the top spot. I just find it ironic. Don’t tell you about the super rare mix of parts on a random piece, because the percentages can artificially make it a #1 in terms of rarity. I get it that CMT is End Game quality, which you specified. But it’s because of the math from generating a fixed set of parts on a random piece of gear that it’s #1. It’s an honorable mention, for that reason. Am i being petty? I’m being petty. Sorry.

I want to do a Honorable Mention to "Vampiric Transfussion" Grenade , I only got one in hundreds of hours playing, its 4 passive slots are all the same to heal, I said this because I got only one and I got many clone maddening tracker and some deluvian Firestorm. The same for "One-Shotter Shield" the only one I got is lvl 50 and i never see it again.

I've gotten 2 Cutpurse Launch Pads in hundreds of hours of play. One was a world drop at level 27, and the other was from Loot the Universe on Promethea. I farmed that bastige for HOURS. Meanwhile, I have over a dozen White Elephants from the LTU event. Also never got a Vindicator Ghast Call. I did find a CMT once, though, and I was so excited. It was like that one time I found a perfect DPUH on my first Torgue vending machine in a BL2 session and had the tokens to buy it.

I got my cut purse launch pad from slaught shaft. Farming there is great in general. Put on lootsplosion + shlooter relic with luck plus or any other luck relic and effect possible. Enemies will drop legendaries on every critical kill. Zane & Flak are best for this method as they have the easiest no brain way of getting crits. This will also help rack up eridium/cash/exp the fastest possible way depending on how good your mobbing builds are.

I spent months, casually, not trying to find it specifically, but to collect the Cloning Maddening Tracker. Then one day of farming Freddie I find it in the ammo vendor as item of the day. I can't express how excited I was. Then absolutely randomly going back to Sanctuary I find another right after. Skip ahead half a year as I'm doing Maliwan allegiance Zane, I get another one without knowing it in Arm's Race. I guess all I gotta say is look at the ammo vendor every chance after every reset if you could, just do it casually and surely you'll run across it!

I picked up a CMT on my original Moze playthrough at like level 10, and used it for a while before vendoring it after farming out a Hex (this was prior to the change to Hex's damage to beam instead of grenade). I have so many regrets nowadays.

With only 1 main story play through under my belt…I found a Sickle, and can confirm, it is ridiculous, even when normal. I also have a +4/1 purple class mod for Zane’s skill that adds another projectile. I don’t know yet what would synergize well with it, but there’s gotta be a couple weapons that play off

Half the mods used in any of your builds can be put in this list. The god rolls I'm referring to. I grinded 760 armed races for a tobagdan with aoe in the 2nd column and the 1st and 3rd column perks are awful. It took over 2000 kills to get ice breaker victory rush god roll. Over 100 + trials of discipline to get a redistributer with the main element radioactive. Took 130 kills to get a decent soul rend. I still haven't got a god roll creamer, or a good globetrottr. Etc

I've seen a few boom Sickles about 7 that's very rare since I started playing this game shortly after release. And the vindicator grenade I got from the first captain haunt boss fight when the event first began. I wish I put it on my wall it was really fun to use when I got it. I may have had some cloning maddening trackers from farming a ton end game... but thats end game my sights were mostly on legendary gear and due to a lack of useful weapons an Everblast with mirv and tracking.

Been hunting that Diluvian ever since I got my first Rain Firestorm, and I used to just check every single vending for a CMT and then literally an hour after reaching Mayhem 10 for the first time I get one. Had 3 Boom Sickles drop so far, 2 Cryo. Had 2 Ghast calls drop from 1 Loot Ghost one time, neither Vindicator but still stupid rare. But been farming a Bekah in bl2 for 2 years and still dont have one so the search continues lol

I mean at least I remember being completely discouraged and defeated over the concept of having to farm like 5x harder because of needing a specific annointment on an already rare af weapon. The good thing is that Artefacts don't have Mayhem levels - so you can go to that arena on Normal instead of Mayhem 10/11. the bad thing is - you still need to go through all the rounds, to then have all the gear from these robots being dropped in a space where you can't pick it up haha.

I must have sort of Bizzarro Luck/RNG: I only have three Cutpurse Launchpads, and SIX (maybe five) Cloning Maddening Trackers. Found out recently that any Cutpurse Artifact plus a Fish Slap Grenade Mod is a good substitute for a Launchpad though.

I never got my hands on a vindicator ghast call, but did find everything else. Funny enough, all of them at level 65, except the deluvian firestorm, which I found at level 64. I even got 3 cutpurse launch pads at level 65. But I haven’t really gotten anything since the latest level cap. I miss level 65. That was my best inventory

first playthrough I got a money maddening tracker from the first vending machine by Lilith, best nade for money farming. also pretty rare from what I've seen.

I'm still mad about the Boom Sickle. It was in the black market vendor for the week. But then a couple of weeks later, Gearbox came out with the level 72 increase. Wasted time farming that vending machine AND wasted eridium re-rolling anointments... 😠

it's about a 1 in 2.5k for an Antifreeze with 1 skill 5/5. it's about a 1 in 300k for a god roll Legendary class mod, meaning the 3 passives you desire, not even looking at the chance or desire of skills. then looking at that on a Phasezerker, it's a 50% chance drop, so a 1 in 600k chance. puts the Antifreeze 1 skill to utter shame, and iirc there are some Legendary class mods that have a rarer chance to drop than 50%.

Really surprised to see the Vindicator Ghast call drop chance I got it last year lvl 65 on the last day of the event. Never taken it off since!

I got that firestorm in a random vendor item of the day, during the week it was in the black market, meaning I just happened upon it by chance.
