Question on point 3: As a Scrum Master:- Can we change a sprint duration or during a project? In the beginning, we can decide but can we make any changes after completing 2 sprints and 4 more pending? Thanks!
@SupriyaBaruQA4 жыл бұрын
Usually you should not. Before committing to sprint , team should agree with the deliverables having a clear idea on estimated timelines. That’s the reason they give importance to sprint planning discussions and welcome to hear any kids of concerns from dev or Qa. In the above case what they do is they still stick to the sprint time box that the project decided initially and may split stories in a granular level so that you might have one release after two sprints of work.

It's really helpful for the one who gonna attend SM interview...Still i would say if you're using 6 weeks sprint then it is home grown/customized scrum practices.... And as per scrum guide it is max 4 weeks.... Thanks for this video though...!! Would be waiting for next Video.

She said 3 two week sprints. Resulting in a 6 weeks release. 2 week sprints are the ideal.

Hi Supriya, your video is very informative and useful. I have a question. Product owner is Client's employee or Internal from Service provider ?
@SupriyaBaruQA4 жыл бұрын
Srinivasa Rao A depends on project. If it’s a product owned company you will have product managers within ur organization. If it’s an outsourced project sometimes a mediator would be the product owner who is from other company.

6 weeks?? Do you mean your sprint lasted for 6 weeks?

Supriya Baru but the scrum guide states the sprint cycle shouldn't exceed 4 weeks or 1 month? I am new to scrum and trying to understand how does it work in real world
@SupriyaBaruQA6 жыл бұрын
Valentina Soloman yes the most common sprint length that is followed and recommended is two weeks. 99% it’s same but there are some exceptional cases where in business Team decides that they will go with four or six weeks sprints. The reason why I had to mention this exceptional scenario is that we still follow all agile practices in the same manner.

@@SupriyaBaruQA you should keep your sprint iteration length constant so that you can build a reliable velocity. Changing sprint lengths is bad practice.

so why is agile only 60% succesful as measured by the customer, and the contract and looming liquidated damages?
@heyybigdaddy6988 Жыл бұрын
Well because no approach is 100% successful. Agile has a 64% rating compared to only 49% for waterfall projects. Customers are rarely fully satisfied.
@T5Zplayer Жыл бұрын
@@heyybigdaddy6988 I have no idea what planet you are from. I have no idea where your figures come from,mine were based on real life programme I have worked on the past 30 years. Dlivering solutions in fixed price contract programme I was 100% succesful. The argument which passes you by is that in the real world agile evolved due to the constant failures in devoplement projects. MVP being the catchall for failed planning.
