I am a Jeanneau owner I have a 50 DS. And this 2023 55 is nothing but another open concept condo. You could not possibly cook in that galley underway without strapping yourself in. All these new boats are nothing but marina queens. I guess that means that these boats are all sold to the non-sailing spouses of the actual sailor. Or they’re just for looks.

You are absolutely correct. It’s just another open concept condo. You couldn’t cook underway in that galley if you had to. It’s just a marina queen. You can tell that Beneteau has now completely infected Jeanneau. And that makes me sad because I own a Jeanneau 50 DS. Trust me, you can cook in it underway.

Why is the bow lighter than the stern ? We have blade keeling of the headsails we can keep the bow light and stay on the water. No biw drunk or bow flight.

Mast and headsails keeling design reduces heeling over, increases speed and rudder control. See for yourself blade keeling design academic keeling deepest point middle of the bow between the mast and forestay of the headsails. 2 x 3x 4x to one at the mast. Relatiive to the sail areas. Sail how fast ????

Not a big fan of the floating condo myself. It has all the charm of a Motel 6. Two helm stations almost on the transom? When not in a marina the autopilot is the foul weather friend. Mahogany vs cheap veneer Ikea interior. Ya not so much. Finally because no one cares what I think, the monohull is pricing itself into history when you look at value for dollar from a Lagoon or Leopard at twice the speed and comfort. Or you could just buy a mansion and watch videos about sailing.

I don't understand the 2 and 1 ... being 1.2 mil! They have the ugliest interior layout and design I have ever seen!
