This is so fascinating! Proprioception is the one I need to remember. I have to constantly remind myself that people are not trying to invade my personal space but are just acting in a way that's normal. I can see someone a block away and my brain will still be like aldhskskff TOO CLOSE

Ooh this is so interesting! I forget how close I am to people. My worst thing is door frames though - cannot walk through any door without slamming my shoulder into the door frame 😂

This is awesome!!!!!! Words and definitions!!!! Omg what a relief, I thought I was delusional with all these sensitivities but I am just born a bit different 😀

Hello Blaire, I'm thrilled that I found your channel. For four years I was always struggling with many things and I kept asking myself what was going on with me? Why everything is heavy and hard on me? I found your channel today and now I'm learning how to live with SPD. Thank you!

I have this quirk when i have to sleep, i need to feel pain in my lower part of the body, specifically on my feet in order to sleep, also needs my feet to be wet that's why i always have to put some oil in there. But these days are very uncomfortable because i really need to feel intense pain, if do not, i feel panicky and breathless. This is frustrating.

Nociception? So like I can take a coffee cup of boiling water out of the microwave and within seconds (so like when it actually stops 'bubbling'), I can start drinking it?

This seems like it could be related to both nociception and thermoception!

@@BlaireM Thanks! People are in shock of how hot I like things, or even how hot I'm able to tolerate things... it's just the things I put in my mouth tho. I can touch that level of heat and burn my finger, and or even burn my lips, but I don't burn the inside of my mouth.
