Treble Cone as a good beginner destination made me chuckle. It's easy one of the worst beginner hills I've ever been to. The beginner green is an icy single pomma and the 'green' central one is super steep and thin.

Cardona is amazing I’ve been there 47 times and every time was good except when I broke my arm on big bucks

Mt Ruapehu is now bankrupt and hasn’t had enough snow since 2019 to have a proper season, it’s a shrinking glacier and may not open again next year unless they find an investor, but no one wants to invest in a shrinking glacier on an active volcano, it’s a bad investment

No surprise if your tallest mountain happens to be 2230 meters tall and *not* everything in the Australian Alps being as rugged, high and steep as the New Zealand ones. Mount Cook alone is 1500 meters higher than Mt. Kosciuszko. Yet, fun fact, Australia receives more snowfall per area on average than Switzerland.

theres just no trees in new zealand that grow at that altitude its all just tussock
