You know something goes wrong when a 37ft boat is called small…..

Saffier looks great and Sunbeam is practical for its purpose! These are awesome boats for people who are honest with themselves- who know that despite their aspirations, they will not be sailing their boats to Antarctica or Patagonia, and will not be signing up for transpac but instead will take it for a spin to islands be it some Ionic Greek islands or Martha's Vineyard- which covers majority of "normal" folks for which these boats would be sufficient, and will work great for suntanning and be very enjoyable for daily sailing in the summer!.. Those who live on their boat and need a safe unsinkable tub even if it bairly moves and has zero sailing engagement need not apply...

Even with their relatively good size, they’re day sailors.

Só called "designer" concepts. Nice to stay docked in a harbour, but useless at sea.😮

Actually the opposite- these boats are for those who want to enjoy the actual thrill of sailing as opposed to those who want to use their boat as a house on water or cheap means of travel and thus need a safe tub-like vehicle that happens to use sails albeit moves slowly with far less sailing engagement... These are like Porsche cabrio as opposed to a motorhome RV, and we know which offers better driving experience...

@@yoryteperman429That was a really good analogy 👍

@@yoryteperman429 Sorry. If I really want to enjoy the thrill of sailing, I'd rather think about the 49er. Unless I want to blow my own trumpet.

@@tomasz_what's wrong with "blowing your own trumpet?" If you can do that? Ah, but you must be a Brit or a European with all kinds of internalized psychological routines and "complexes" that prevent you from enjoying your life fully... If I were in a market for a daysailer of this caliber - a Saphier or Botin or Black Pepper or a Spirit, I'd get it without giving a damn of what other might think, and certainly without that secondary reflexivity often indicative of some repressed insecurities or deep self-loathing and inhibitions associated with being a Brit or a European... Luckily, Americans like myself are simpler: when they see a Ferrari car or a daysailer like above, they do not envy its driver but start thinking of how to make it so they could afford it one day... This simplest state of mind - like most simplest things- is difficult to explain or convey to someone unaccustomed to it but I try...
