Yea Timbs are a regional thing. I keep a fresh pair when I lived in Ohio, but I’m not so concerned with them now that I live in Florida. They don’t really fall off.

I think the reason why AJ1s are less popular now is because dunk lows have replaced them for the general public. Think about it, low top sneakers are easier to rock in most outfits than high tops, and to most people the dunk low basically just looks like a low version of the jordan 1. Plus they're cheaper than jordan 1s

I love Timbs, I tend to buy a new pair every winter. Maybe because I live in the cold mid-west though. I think it really depends on your location, like obviously nobody is rocking them in the warmer states. Imo, classic shoes like Timbs never go out of style, they're like AF1s. If you're looking for an everyday casual boot, the Timbs are definitely the way to go. My main daily's are White AF1s for the Summertime & wheat Timbs for the wintertime.

@@chuckielong1 There's a small Asian Mom-and-Pop shop where I live that always sells them for 25% off, so total is like $160 after tax. At first I was skeptical, but did my research & they're legit, because on the Timberland website, it shows you all the legit stores that carries Timbs, & that store was listed on there. When the pandemic hit in 2020, it was the best time to buy them, Nordstrom was selling them for only $120, I wish I had stocked up during that time. Lol

550s are weird, there's so many colorways of them and they do generally seem to sell but I barely ever see anyone rocking them in SoCal - when I do its usually the ALD pairs. When I went to Manhattan I saw them everywhere, GRs and collabs. Even at their peak you saw them all over social media but I barely ever saw anyone wearing them irl, I'd see like 25 panda dunks before a 550

I love my 550's, but ALD did fall off sadly. I don't know if its because they keep restocking general release 550s but the hype isn't as big anymore. It's one of those "iykyk" type of shoes. They haven't really done much this year in terms of bringing something intriguing to the customers so it's kind of died down. The 990s by Teddy Santis are also in a similar path as the ALD 550's. It's a niche type of hype, still gotta love em for the quality that they deliver.

The 550s fell off b/c they have a weird fit. If you go true to size you get the heel slippage issue. If you go down a 1/2 size the forefoot area is too tight b/c it’s a narrow shoe. If they fixed the sizing issue, they wouldn’t have fallen off this quickly.
