I started thinking more about what be beneficial to the viewer than what I want when it comes to upgrades. I invested in some proper lighting since starting to watch your videos instead of using my ceiling light. I’ve put more effort into growing on other platforms and been more critical of streaming groups offering the chance to grow with them and have since left the communities that I realized were not going to actually help me at all.

UPVOTE TO SAVE TIMES & LIVES 1. Your stream won't grow insanely quick or fast while you're live. Make KZbin content instead. 2. Networking doesn't work like you think it will. You can't network your way to stardom. 3. Quit chasing brands and sponsorships and ads. 4. Looking for shortcuts in growing your channel can backfire and hurt you. 5. I saw a video where the guy said even if you have 0 viewers it’s still important to talk. Talk to yourself, that way you get good at it. Then the next time someone pops into your stream, they’ll hear you talking and it’ll make them more likely to stick around. Because the content streamers give isn’t necessarily the gameplay itself, but the interaction with the audience and the interesting commentary they add

ive met quite a few people recently on twitch who streamed for 6 months to a year before having any regular viewers and even longer than that without having affil. ive met a couple that got affil in like 2 or 3 weeks. both of those things really put it into perspective that it can be a chance thing. it may not happen for a lot longer than the year even. but eventually youll have at least one person come in and say hi that you can start to build a bond with and more will follow after that.

Even though this year has been rough with all the stress and recovery that I had to do, I learned a whole lot from it. 1. Listen to your body. If you feel stressed OVER a longer period of time, take a step back and think again. Is it really worth it to work this hard? 2. If it’s not ”fun” anymore, and its just a thing that you feel like ”you have to do”. Think again, do you really have yo push yourself right now, or can you rethink it all? 3. Idk, just take care dammit. I love you all. Thanks flr the support😍

I started streaming mostly because I wanted to get myself to keep 'working' on videos, without worrying about recording and editing, and more spontaneous stuff. And while I do want to earn some money by streaming, I don't want to make a ton. Just 'some'. If possible, about 100€ or a little above that would be great. A 'goal', if you will. Just so I can have a bit of money coming in while I'm unemployed, maybe help me get new/great games more easily so I can share them on stream again.

Good tip for you all, especially for someone who starting to stream. Know what your getting yourself into. It cost most to stream but not record(not much) . And even if you have the money to stream , it takes allot time, and commitment. Not trying to discourage anyone to give it up or not stream but warning those who are deciding. People want to see personality. If you want people to watch you play games, make entertain them. Show them excitement ,a show, play games and talk or play good , something interesting, be creative. Remember it’s a part of label you and valuing . If your doing it for money (it takes time and commitment) don’t rush into it , it doesn’t happen over night. Hope this help anyone of you all

@@cilirhammersteel5515 You really should try and talk the whole time! I hate it when i browse other small streamers and they don't talk or just look at their phone the entire time. It might take a while to fill a 10 minute video, but imo it's much more worth than uploading all the awkward pauses inbetween. Something that just came to my mind (not sure if its a good idea haha), what if you send your funny segments or insane gameplay to a "Twitch highlights" Channel here on youtube. Networking is how I got my first 100 subs on KZbin. I reached out to other gamer's channels, commented, saying I make similar content. Honestly it was fundamental in getting my channel off the ground. Not spamming, not begging for subs, just thoughtful comments.

Great content as always man; I've grown from 0 followers to hitting my first 1,000 subs on YT thanks to your advice and suggestions (along with putting in effort to make content of course). I stream 3 times/ week and work on KZbin 3 days/ week around my full time job. Anyone can do this if they set their minds and schedules to it!

“Don’t Neglect Just Chatting” I will watch a whole video on this! I only am able to do short streams, 1hr 30min - 2 hours at most, maybe still cut a short bit of time out at the start or finish? I kinda already do it a little bit.
Hey! Thanks for the tips man. I've literally had to do just this (former Mixer partner), start over on Twitch and rebuild. Good to know I'm doing the right things. Appreciate the help!

I've been growing slowly but surely. Making "commercials" for your streams with KZbin is genius. Thank you for this

Funny how none of this things work for me. Probably I am just not that interesting. I stream on KZbin and although I get constant growth on videos and subscribers, my streams get same amount of viewers as 1 year before. Feelsbadman

Yeah, I agree. I am no professional but it's likely that the content and bits you do are not super interesting. Try changing it up.

As a baby streamer these are some really good tips to keep in mind! I'm starting to consider Twitch as a serious avenue for expanding my music career, and trying to absorb as much advice as I can. I hit Affiliate within a couple months so I'm feeling optimistic!
@LocalOnThe83 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you mentioned Just Chatting. I feel like it's easier to grow in that category even tho it's saturated as hell. I see the average person scrolling thru JC streams rather than gaming streams. I know I find myself scrolling thru JC and finding new small streams. Twitch is becoming more mainstream and the mainstream doesn't care about games as much as the internet thinks.

I may disagree with his first point (at least in my case), something I've put a lot of thought into especially recently. KZbin should always be the priority, as far as exposure and overall algorithm. Long term, KZbin is king. However, for someone like me who doesn't have a job, I need to focus on whatever will produce the fastest, most efficient results. KZbin would take me YEARS to build up. (Trust me, I know it's never overnight success, I've already been streaming for nearly 5 years) So, if I devoted a huge chunk of time to KZbin (just like he said in the intro, its really tough to do both) i'd cut back on streaming. And for me, streaming is already going pretty well.. closing in on 1000 followers, so cutting back and devoting time to my youtube (which is maybe like 10 or 15 active subs who'd watch my content) would be counterproductive. My extremely biased opinion obviously, but feel free to share your thoughts in the replies! Any advice always helps, especially if someone is in the same boat as me. *Please don't sub to me or follow anything of mine, not trying to promote anything, just want advice & thoughts on my current situation*

Dont make easy shortcuts to "go live" unless you dont mind startin your stream while naked. seen it happen to a girl i know.
@mistermfmike3 жыл бұрын
i have a hotkey for it on my keyboard, but i am fortunate in that my computer isnt in an area that i would ever be naked in.. worst case (when i get a camera in a week or two i dont even have one atm) is that a cat hits the button and im taking a nap on my couch thats behind me. but thats not gonna hurt anyone other than the viewers watching me drool on myself :P
