I always get compliments when I wear L'imperatrice even from strangers. The fruity smell makes me think of these bath oil beads/pearls that I use to get at the body shop back in the day. It just has this nostalgic scent, I actually love spraying this when I'm fresh out of the shower about to start my day. But it doesn't last on me either, I have to over spray it and reapply.

Nice summer picks, for sure! I'm not a big citrus-aromatic lover, but I really do enjoy them when it's balls hot, for a lack of a better term, in the heat Summer head of July and August. Believe it or not, I enjoy wearing the CK One Summer and Issy Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Summer scents. They are just simple and refreshing.

C Mac ITA!! I brought it based on the watermelon notes people have talked about but I don’t get any watermelon or melon notes on me at all. Just tart rhubard like you stated. It’s not my favorite but it dries down to a nice clean citrus scent.

For my fresshy I looove Etat libre d'orange, You or Someone Like You. Best mint scent to my nose without being too zesty, focusing more to the green notes. Cannot wait to hear what you think about YOSLY

Nice list. I’ll be wearing a bunch of different fragrances, but my best fresh scents for high heat are Jo Malone Basil & Neroli, Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia, and Jo Malone Jade Leaf Tea. I have a lot of summer samples I want to test out this summer as well, including that Hermes on your list.

I just ordered Italian Zest and am getting it tomorrow along with Mandarine Ambree by Hermes and ELDO Fils de Dieu. I have a 5ml of I Love Love which I'm wearing right now and am loving. I've never owned a true citrus-heavy fragrance and have to say I love them. Can't wait for tomorrow - three summer citruses! Need to sample Pomelo Paradis now. I also own Imperatrice. Got that at duty free for $27, so no brainer. I wear it to the gym usually and is a zingy, fruity pick me up. It's a little odd but I like it. BTW, your mention of Italian Zest a while ago "enabled" me to buy it. lol I've got two other Light Blue Flankers and am picking up a Light Blue for the first time very soon.

I love D&G Light Blue Italian Zest! I ended up buying a 100 ml before the end of last year. There's another flanker called Sun. I blind bought it a couple of months ago. I didn't like it on first impression and stuck it in a box at the bottom of my closet. I should probably take it out and give it a second chance.

Twilly, is quite a challenging one on me for sure. Love ginger smells, but in the high heat, I'm not sure I'd be in the mood for such a warm spice.

My top 5 for summer are: Viktor & Rolf Sparkling Secret (the grapefruit is divine - this smells soooo fizzy), Light Blue Eau Intense, Mugler Angel Eau Croisière (Loving the Mango), Le Jardin de Monsieur Li (light and summery), and Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic (an old favorite -reminds me of summers past - lots of happy memories with this one!)
