Please check out the double edged Pikal. By Lionhearted Bladeworks of South Africa. I was very impressed by the fit and finish . Decent kydex sheath. A choice of steels and a "trainer" is avalible. Additionally , with the double edge . For those that can "legally" carry this in your particular State. You have twice as much cutting power.

I'll second this one. His belt attachment is one of the best I've ever used, and the double edged pikal is just the right size for EDC.

I love Williams Blade Design! I have two of them....the Winkler made ones. I love traditional Japanese style tantos. I do want to get at least one of the TRC made ones, such as you have. Also a Ben Tendick tanto(even more expensive)...🤯. I really like your T-Kell Tanto Tomas! I may have to get one and the trainer. Here's to some great content in 2025!!!!

I like straight blades better. I train martial arts but not fma. The pikal or karambit sort of involves different moves that I dont train. I ordered your 007 knife because of thectwo hand guards. I think they could have done a better job on the sheath. They could have folded one end to make it more compact like some of the other knives but it still will be fine. I like that you tested it on balistic gel and bones. You put a lot of thought into it. I know a few guys that swear by the james williams knives but these are hardcore people deployed in war zones. They actually use the knives in close quarters and train all the time. I hope I never have to pull a knife in self defense

It’s good to know that you understand the way that you train and the knives that you carry certainly coming to factor Appreciate the support on the 007 I actually opted for a wider sheath to provide more comfort while carrying it, and it is still slim enough to fit into most belt loops for horizontal carry Williams does an outstanding job and I am a big fan of the Tanto for many reasons Happy new year !

My revere was very dull and would not take an edge. I think it’s a design flaw. The fat dagger design does not allow enough of a ramp to get it sharp. To the point where I sold mine

@@tacticaltavern The sheath was great! The constant tension was great, provides a smooth draw but great retention. The overall design of the knife was great! I love the handle and size. But the lack of sharpness, took a lot of confidence away for me. Sometimes you have to slash and that was basically just not possible with that blade. I even tried changing the edge geometry.

I really like the first one but it's too expensive for my tastes. I never understood why they can't make these type of knives out of a more affordable steel. It's not like we need super steels for the task they are designed for.

the steel does not make up that much of the cost of a knife. if you are looking for great but less expensive: take a look at northern shrike knives. has a couple of models, guy has a background in combatives and it shows in the designs, each comes with a 3d printed trainer and i think they are all under $150

That TCNC sheath is an abomination! There's nothing wrong with a well made taco style sheath and clip. Lower profile and look better!
