Top 5 Theory11 Decks Ever! (2022 Edition)

Interesting video. None of these decks would make a spot in my top five Theory 11 list. It just goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that it all boils down to individual, subjective taste.

Absolutely! I love the discussions - because there are so many ways to enjoy playing cards. For me, it’s fully custom decks that speak to me. But I would not argue with someone who loved the more standard decks like Monarchs or JAQK for example. There’s no wrong answers!

@@TheCardGuyReviews Agreed. 🙂👍 I'm not sure if I can make a list, but one thing is for sure, and that is that my number one Theory 11 deck is the Hollywood Roosevelt. It is actually my favorite deck of all time, and I have been a deck collector for 15 years now. I love Theory 11 for the ability to craft such a deck. 👍

@@deuaypham It would go something like this: 1.) Hollywood Roosevelt, 2.) High Victorian, 3.) Sentinels, 4.) Hudson, 5.) Citizens I also think Tycoons are good. Personally, I think it has gone downhill after Roosevelts, because of all the mass produced licenced decks with identical design languages (seems they use the same in-house designer for all the court card designs).

Absolutely...it was hard to limit to the top 5...but Bad Robot was definitely one I was looking hard at!

I'm sure you considered the Monarchs, but I think they at least deserved an honorable mention.... I feel like they single handedly introduced more people to Theory 11 than any other deck... but that's just a theory. That being said, I do like your top 5 choices. When you do an "all-time top decks list" you better put Rattler Gorge at the top! I bought several and have gifted some of them as well to get friends started on the deck collecting train. Keep up the good work, thank you for your dedication on these videos.

Thanks so much for the Rattler Gorge love! Really appreciate it. It was a fun journey. On Monarchs, I totally get it. If I ranked the most influential decks, it would be tops for sure! I personally tend to lean to more custom decks clearly. But that deck means so much to card collecting - no doubt.

@@TheCardGuyReviews I see your point and agree. The best vs the most influential are not always the same. When are you going to do a review on your Rattler Gorge deck? I'm sure I'm not the only one waiting to hear your opinions on your deck. I can do a video on your deck if you'd like, I have the equipment and a channel to post it on. Just not sure what your strategy on it is. Can't wait to see your Mystery Deck pulls from Art of Play. I think I'll get a dozen this year! My big prizes from last year were: "If an Octo Could Palm" and "HMNIM Gold." Can't wait to see what everyone pulls this year! I'm hoping they still do a Makers Reserve Gilded and get one of those. I'm kind of tempted to put my personal address by my name as Chris Ramsay in the hopes that I trick them into giving me the best of the best. hahaha.

I haven't got it yet but I have ordered their Piracy and Grateful dead. Can't wait to see them, I like how colorful grateful dead looked and Piracy's unique gold and silver touch seemed interesting. From your review and a lot of comments here, I think I should try out Contraband too.

Most interesting! I had no idea that cards were such a hot collector's item. I just received my Monarch deck from Theory 11; they are lovely. I used to play cards with a pair of German sisters who were well into their 80s or more. They had these small German cards with very medieval looking illustrations on the court cards. I believe that the Italians have a special deck for the games Scopa and Briscola. I'd have to check with the in-laws. Anyway, happy collecting! --Old Guy

- Union has really stuck with me over the years. Good callout. - Tavern on the Green… meh, doesn’t do it for me, but you make really great points. - Harry Potter - well, if you’re a Ravenclaw then no point in debating with you… - Provision… TOTALLY agree with you on this. Let alone the fact that the stars aligned when they produced this deck. Absolutely best handling deck T11 has ever made. The only deck I own more of than these is Bees.

I have a few dozen theory11 decks including the Star Wars and harry potter color sets, but have yet to open them simply because they are so pretty... I can only play so many card games and have plenty of opened decks already, so Id hate to breach their seals and tank their resell values just to look through them for 5 minutes. The infamous catch22 with collecting card decks.

I’ve got the black Star Wars deck love that red tho also have the avengers in blue I’ve also seen them in green and I have my favorite so far the dark knight mainly because it uses Heath Ledgers joker as the jokers!!!

Lovely looking cards, and the card-stock on Theory11 is so nice. I personally don't really like any of the IP licenses (apart from Dune, I got that one 😉), but the non-licenced stuff is amazing!
