@@AndyDoveGuitar they really can be tricky, can't they! I guess it's all about knowing where to be ahead of time so you get really smooth note/shape transitions, which in my mind is the essence of blues playing...there I go telling grandma how to suck eggs 😉

generally speaking Gorham played melodic solos, like on Dancing in the Moonlight. Robertson and Moore are more "shreddy" or faster in general.

Heya thank you ever so much for watching, yes I do, absolutely adore this Les Paul it's a 57 reissue (often called Black Beauty R7) from 1993, it's a heavy guitar at about ten and a half lbs, and a chunky neck too, but I absolutely love it for it. Funny that you mention both of them at the same time. Imagine a Lizzy cover tour with Sykes and Norum. Both can play whatever and both can even sing very similar to Lynott. Norums Lizzy covers are nothing but amazing.
