i test rode a CB650r , felt really good but just preferred the look of the S750 for my first bike. this looks like great bike for learning on, id get the mrs one of these if she was to think about getting a bike. i had a 2008 cbr125 and absolutely loved that bike! never let me down once! left it outside all winter , come out and starts first time everytime! I do miss how much it used to cost to run a 125, you have just as much fun and like you've previously said 'Its just freedom'.
@pudmoto

Yeah exactly mate they really do just never miss a beat! Think the s750 is a nicer looking bike to be honest pal. Must admit i'm not looking forward to the rising petrol prices when getting a bigger bike but I bet it is so worth it hahaha

i commute in s London on my 300 forza... some fella on one of these cb125r comes past me most days... suprises me how nippy for a 125.... . i actually own a nc 700x im finding the seat height a problem so considering the cb300r .... i love a bike that does 80mpg... ive had them all thru the years and just enjoy steady rides now... its all about the base NO treble... nice enjoyable vid..... lol...

Ive wanted a bike for about years! And this year it seems like the obsession ia greater than ever. These bikes have certainly caught my eye, love the cb650r. Insurance seems to be the issue, though. Also, gear! I want to get gear before doing cbt, but it's a minefield
@pudmoto
@pudmoto 5 ай бұрын
Yeah it certainly isn't the easiest thing to get into, as for gear I got a bank loan for my first bike and got a little extra to start myself off with gear.
@vioss
@vioss 4 ай бұрын
You probably could get some good gear in about 20% of the new cb125r price. I just bought one as first bike and I can backup the claims on this video. A bit disappointed on the first gears as it needs 4th to hit 70kmh at least until it's first 500

@@pudmoto one of the many reasons I love 125cc bikes. Once I put bigger jets in my carb I will definitely loose mpg to around 70 but will be one of the fastest 125cc bikes aha, well worth the trade

What was that at the end 😂. Great video, I finally got the voge r125 went to work on it today and the amount of brethren that waved is crazy. also watching this video im seeing things that are either shared parts or are identical replicas.

1) Agree, especially the CB 300R, 650R and the 1000R. and same I want to get a 650R but I am saving for an africa twin. 2) Absolutely but depends on what tyres you have, but new tyres with this makes it absolutely amazing. Plus the ABS has definitely saved me 3) Honda has always been great especially reliability, definitely a true and true Honda fan. 4) In the countryside and the city yes, it can last me a week to week and a half but I have been on A Roads motorway style and honestly, its terrible on that. on 20 mile on uphill and downhill motorway style, I use half a tank because its so tough on the bike (granted as it isn't built for it). but it is so cost effective especially in the city. 5) Yes, Nisin is standard on Hondas and they are be great. The LED is phenomenal especially on the country roads and you really CAN see in the dark. The Dashboard is great but in my opinion, its not bright enough and the modes to change things can be complicated. but as is, it is very good. My main gripe is that the 2018-2020 (Silver headlight units) have only 13hp where as the newer ones 2021-present (black headlight units) have increased the bore of the piston making the full fat 15hp (14.9 technical). but An phenomenal bike nonetheless From an Ex Honda CB125R Rider (2020), hoping to get newer one soon.

@pudmoto Жыл бұрын
Oh wow mate that's exciting saving for an Africa twin!! What year you thinking? Yeah I can really imagine that with a brand new set of tyres on it it would be even more phenomenal! Abs is beautiful haha. Indeed I'm right there with you, full on Honda fan haha my upgrade is sticking with them too 😂 yeah I've not done many motorway miles to be honest so never really got that end of the stick, but agree that for regular city stuff it pretty much can't be beaten. Must admit I have thought that in terms of the power mate, although I never really expected much from a 125 so always knew power was waiting in the higher displacement classes for me 🤣 all in all its fantastic

Would have been the bike i went for if i had a better budget but im looking to go for honda for my a2. Theres a lot of facebook market place 600s that i could restrict lets just hope they dont blow up. Its a great bike tho, you probably made the best choice for a 125 to start off with biking
