The mission you're talking about "Photo Opportunity" was completely changed sometime before the final game was released. In the original version CJ was supposed to steal a helicopter to meet Ceaser and then take pictures of the meeting from the air. I'm guessing CJ and Ceaser would've flown back together once the mission was over. A little fun fact is that the dialogue was never changed and that's why CJ and Ceaser yell at each other when they're on the rooftop taking photos.

After going through the heist missions twice recently, I'm starting to think it's just a full on satire of the whole complicated planning of heists in media in general. Not sure if it's the case but it's just my hunch. Heck in the first mission of the heist, paraphrasing here, CJ said a "secret" room like the janator's living space has the feel of actually planning a heist when he could have done it in Woozie's office.

Lol, it's funny to look back at these missions and think about it. I'm 28 and beat GTA SA when I was 12-15 around 4+ times. Didn't think about how much sense missions made since technically none of it makes sense, but yeah, you could make this into a series of some sort. I can't think of any Los Santos / Grove St missions that didn't make sense though.. besides having to kill tons of ballas and whatnot, it seems normal for some real gangs lol, some crazy shit like robbing guns instead of buying em, but it's still fun and just a game.

I remember at the start of the mission 'up, up & away' you could go to the part of the desert where you do missions for Toreno & take the jetpack to fly over the army compound & land close to the sky crane. You still have to fight some army soldiers & destroy army choppers but the mission is made a little easier.

@@robertmcginty4146 There is also a mission in GTA Vice City called 'Cop Land' that I found very difficult. Until I realised that I could use a helicopter for the mission. Lance won't follow you to the mansion roof where the helicopter is but you can land it & collect him. If you land the helicopter near an entrance to the north point mall you can then run to it with Lance & fly over the cops when you gain the wanted rating. You then just have to land outside the mansion & run inside to complete the mission.

That's because it is tame by comparison, and what's even more crazy is that the Heist missions were actually meant to be longer so there was more than likely more nonsense in-between. But ultimately Ride to Hell Retribution was a shit game with absolutely no redeeming factors while GTA SA is way ahead of its time and still praised to this day so no one will even bother complaining about the obviously poor mission structure in some of these missions, while in a game like Ride to Hell its more noticeable because of how shit the game was.

Can you make a part 2? I feel like there’s WAY more than just these 5. And by the way, when CJ said “Woozie, look after these fools for me” I thought that was funny because Woozie CAN’T look, lol. But my examples include: - Freefall. Yes CJ learned how to fly a plane but did he learn how to fly like Superman? Physics here are unbelievable. - Why CJ doesn’t tell Sweet that he infiltrated and stopped the Loco Syndicate in San Fierro from producing crack to Los Santos and worked for the government to get him out of prison. If he said all those things, Sweet wouldn’t be acting like a bitch. - Makes no sense why Ryder got killed off. Killing off Ryder instead of writing the story better and finding a way for him to die better, or leave or stay on their side. Also makes no sense why the main focus is Smoke in The Green Sabre mission even though Ryder is clearly visible. I mean, CJ even says “what the fuck?” as soon as the garage sliding door opens and the only person visible inside they’re RIGHT when CJ said wtf was Ryder, so he didn’t even SEE Smoke at that first split second so that’s doubled on making no sense. - Why did Woozie give CJ false information on where Toreno was? And what’s even the point of Toreno’s Last Flight? - I know this is for the mission to have fun with special vehicle but there are conveniently three vortex’s and three go-karts during the mission for the right amount of people - It took 20 something missions in the beginning of the game to get Grove Street back up top but then all that work for nothing. Grove Street is the weakest gang of LS and gone by the time CJ is in the countryside, San Fierro and Las Venturas. But as soon as sweet gets out of prison, it just takes like 4 missions or so to get grove back up top. - CJ literally ran through flames in End of the Line? How is that possible? - Why does Tenpenny have CJ bust the meet of the Ballas and Russians in Gray Imports? Why does Tenpenny want that? It’s almost like he’s HELPING CJ there - Why do you fail the mission for detaching the trailer in Tanker Commander but not in Highjack? - Is Toreno just being funny for the sake of GTA’s comedy? Because he tells us to kill whoever denies us access to verdant Meadows but that never happens. - The Las Venturas Airport is on the west side of the city but we see the Andromada flying above the Luxor or The Camel’s Toe which is on the east side of the city - WHY did they put the Securicar in Up Up and Away SO far from the airfield? The fly there is slowly painful enough - Idk why CJ doesn’t stand up harder for himself against enemies like T-Bone or Tenpenny. If they fucked with anyone else, like Tommy or Trevor, they would be DEAD already - Why is Explosive Situation a main story mission? It should be part of the casino heist mission strand because you’re stealing explosives for the heist. Then the plans. Then Millie’s keycard. Then the charges at the dam. Ryder's Voice actor quit half way through the game so they just plopped him in the Green Sabre cutscene as a traitor, less effort than recasting and rerecording. The boat chase was meant for Mendez but repurposed to kill off Ryder, would of been more fitting if he died in the shootout at the end of Green Sabre or if he could of been perma killed if you let him die.

Tbh the writing for san andreas fell through after the green sabre mission, because of which you can notice sooo many plot holes or some missions which don't make sense wrt the storyline

@@talibong9518 so if Ryder's voice actor never quit, he could have been rewritten to be a redeemed villain, or at least a spy, ie Ryder himself volunteered to spy on big smoke or maybe Ryder is sent by sweet to spy on big smoke.. Ryder could have died honorably by attempting to expose big smoke's plot only to be killed by big smoke or at least found redemption

It isn't even possible to open a jet plane door from the *inside* if you wanted to, let alone the outside. This is because of the pressure difference inside and outside of the aircraft. But it's a good and fun mission no doubt lol

Another thing is that CJ can have conversations with people he's trying to kill mid chase while being in a completely different vehicle. He does this with Ryder, Jizzy, Pulaski and probably more people lol.

I don’t know why Carl even left grove street to begin with and how the hell was it still around after sweet and CJ left, sweet was the only dude keeping the families apart but somehow the balla’s didn’t even try to attack grove street while it’s head leaders were out, they could’ve single handily taken out the families since the only people who didn’t let them take the hood was CJ and sweet

The whole damn game doesn't make sense, and its NOT supposed to. You can fall of the top of a tower, get blown up, shot at hundreds of times, just to "die" and somehow in a few hours leave the Hospital. Or murder the entire police department, get arrested then get released few hours later. Even in missions, CJ's body count is absurd, this is a video game, we have to suspend our disbelief for a second.

Not all items are created equal. They wanted you to have specific bikes, so they made it so. Either by duplicates or some script that recognises which bikes are which and only allows the mission specific ones. Two things can be the same but if the devs want, function differently. I think with the limo it's meant to change the plates too.

The only thing about Cop Wheels that makes no sense is that for the casino heist you only use 2 police bikes but you have to steal 4 . That said it's a game it doesn't have to make sense , it just has to be fun and for the most part San Andreas is fun .

As a kid, that mission @ no3 I could NEVER figure out what to do. I flew the plane there, but didn't know I had to jump out and just kinda got stuck until I got lucky, leaving, but never really understood why. (I think it was this mission, this or another similar one)

Up, up and away is ridiculous. But getting the sky crane is much easier if you've completed Green Goo beforehand. Go to the airstrip, get the jet pack and fly straight up to the helipad. You'll still have a couple of guys and the hunters to take down, but it is far simpler and much faster.

My guess for #1 is that stealing one of the Casino's van would drive attention to the Salvatore, and would do some changes how the vans enter and leave the casino, eliminating CJ and the triads to do the heist like how they planned to do it in the first place. The skycrane is ridiculous, but maybe if he'd just brake in to steal the van that would drove mor attention to the cops, and the chase would have been much more harder.
