A family staycation took us to Grand Junction and Fruita, Colorado. Here are our top 5 things to do in the area:
1. Colorado National Monument to hike and see spectacular views. Plus, kids can earn a junior ranger badge.
2. The Lunch Loop Bike Park is great for families because there is a pump track and trails for different skill levels, including difficult options like the aptly named Pucker Up Trail.
3. Fruita has great options too like the PBR Trail which stands for pumps, bumps, and rollers- it’s nonstop banked turns that flow from one to the next.
4. One of the attractions at Bananas Fun Park is Coconut Cove where the 10,000-gallon tipping bucket and water slides brought out big smiles.
5. The Eureka Science Museum has more than 150 interactive exhibits that focus on everything from earth and space science to electronics, biology, and physics.
