I won't say to avoid using the busses, but make sure you tell the driver where you're going and establish a price before you get on. Unfortunately, a lot of Grenadians still have some resentment towards foreigners (because of some historical stuff), and some of the bus drivers might try to overcharge you, or demand extra payment from you, ounce you're at your stop. Overall, those are good tips. I will add however, that a visit to old St. George's, one of the plantations, and Carriacou are also a must. As for Grand Anse, if you get there early morning, or hike a little ways north, it is possible to find a quiet spot. So I don't think Grand Anse should be missed. But I definitely agree that you should visit some of the more rural areas. Granada is fairly safe, but outside the tourist zones you may sadly encounter some people who have a "locals only" mentality. They might not say anything to you, but it's pretty obvious they don't want you there. All that being said, I still think it's an island that should not be missed. As you mentioned, it's still not as popular as some of the other islands, so it has the perfect mix of touristy Caribbean and authentic Caribbean. This is still my favorite island I've visited.

How is it now in Grenada ?
@Raview_4 жыл бұрын
Do you mean weather? It’s usually warm in Grenada all year round. The rain season is from June to November. I went in July 2019 and luckily there was no rain. If you’re asking about COVID, I am assuming things are slightly different now and people are practicing social distancing. Hope this helps!

$20 USD for a boat road to the sculpture park is way too much. If you’re going to spend that you may as well take the glass bottom boat and the captain makes a day of it with music and rum punch

Grenada is a middle income country. So some things will be very affordable, but some other things will be costly. It is like any other part of the world. You have high-end areas, as well as middle and low-end areas. Do not come with any naive, idealistic views either. People are people, like anywhere else. My country is beautiful, safe and welcoming; but do be respectful and you will receive the same in return.
