Mammoth Museum in Hot Springs which is a live dig site and museum. You should check out Jewel and wind cave. and just a few hours away is Devils Tower Wyoming (Close Encounters) and if you are RVing or tent camping one of the best KOA's is at the base.

Born and raised in Deadwood, but have since moved and regretted it lately more than ever. You could spend months in western south dakota and not see everything.

With having kids, a must do is Old McDonald's Farm outside of Rapid City. One paid entry gets you back in 2 more times. The kids love it.

This is by far the most suggestive vlog on Rushmore. We are planning and hoping to make it out in April 2021. Do you have recommendations on campgrounds? Any other info appreciated.

1880 train is awesome. You guys need to take another trip out there for sure there's so many amazing things you missed out on I grew up in South Dakota. If you have kids bear country and old McDonald's farm is amazing. Rapid City has an awesome mini golf course and also has dinosaur park

We went this summer as well. Have to see Crazy Horse and take the bus tour, amazing story. Jewel cave was beautiful and it’s located just west of the town of Custer. There is the Cosmo Mystery Area that is fun and also must take a ride through Needles Highway. Thankfully we missed the hail. Stayed in Custer at Beaver Lake Campground. Right around the corner from Mt Rushmore

That field looks perfect for the droid vs. Gundun (?) battle! I was half expect you to put in a "Roger! Roger!" before jumping to the next clip. And the steam engine working for both Polar Express and Hogwarts Express ❤️❤️ Can't wait for the Hangout!
