As a former professional bmx racer just now getting into motocross. I can’t say enough how thankful I am that I’ve already learned most techniques to do with jumping etc that just flat out translates over to a dirt bike. Especially chin over the bars. Your head rarely moves behind the bars on a bmx bike.

I really liked the video and the explanation of what the changes mean with the fork setup and the pegs are a great idea to help a rider grip the bike almost effortlessly! 🤙🔥

I tried all three fork lines on my GasGas EC300. I wound up with the forks pushed up to the third line and 110 sag for tight woods riding in uneven terrain.

tips i do to make my xr200 ride softer is the triple clamps top and bottom have different torque values on the bolts.....i think the top bolts are tighter than the bottom clamp bolts.....i use the same tire pressure front and rear as you, which i find good......all my engine mounting bolts are a tad looser than stock torque as for my swing arm pivot bolt.....i think i got that info from keefer inc

im 5-7" too.....also 64 years old.....i've had dirt bikes all through my life..40 plus years...i noticed your handlebars are set real low .....i actually still have my 1984 and 1986 rm and cr 125's handlebars from back in the day....i dont know why i saved them but a little voice said keep dont throw away or sell...these were the aftermarket bars made by answer products......so for me i use a handlebar riser 30mm and i feel like im in a better position today than i was 40 years ago.....i have an xr200 with cr125 forks and a 19 inch rear tire.....bike feels like my old cr125 with a 4 stroke motor, which is plenty enough for an old koot like me.....i was looking up gasgas 350's and found your channel.....keep them coming......oh , i also welded on wide footpegs on the frame as the stock ones were too skinny and too far forward......my bike is a frankie but it works for me......hope your bike feels good for you......makes riding more fun for sure

Great video, I recently bought a crf 150rb. and I think I might add the footpegs to the bike. Do you think that would be good for the bike

Congrats! If you don’t have any issues with grip or control on your OEM/stock pegs I’d suggest to run those. However you can’t go wrong with the Fastway pegs if you’re looking for more control/grip.

Pretty much the main connection to the bike, handlebars are only for steering so pegs are everything.
