The extremely tight supplies of Star Wars and One Piece are probably holding both games back at this point, especially One Piece. I think all of the games on this list could easily last 5 more years, but beyond that it's hard to say. The track record of FaB and its slower release schedule will definitely be advantages in the long-term.

The one reason why i havent started playing One Piece is because of the huge money hurdle. There was an admiral deck my friend let me use when he was teaching me how to play and after hearing the price, it was an immediate turn off. FaB dumped there 1st edition cards.. Showing very poor managed fundamentals, since 'collecting and trading' should be the core driver of what makes a good TCG.. Furthermore there artwork is mostly in the realm of depressing dark and gore allowing less demographic (16+). They also print new sets too fast and making older sets power creep hard! Its just a very bad investment cash grab company, with very bad card cut quality (I still need to offload 10 boxes Tales of Aria 1st edition below retail!).. Grand archive beats all these flaws and then some, creating less bulk in cards since all decks can use almost all cards, it has the best deck building variety hence the name 'Grand Archive' - and for the poor competing people they allow proxy cards into tournaments, very clever!.. (FaB cards that are required to be competitive are money gated, is bad by design) The GA card quality is top tier premium, the game has its own IP and is created by true card gamers for card gamers, backed and kickstarted by the community itself.. They are doing slow print runs to allow people to get involved, while keeping all initial classes balanced and are able to expand on those classes, while keeping them innovative and interesting using elemental combo`s and different lineages!.. Grand Archive has way more potential in not only playability with great pacing and mechanics, but also with collecting high value cards, that are honestly distributed and these cards are not required to be competitive.. Making GA a true all-round innovative top notch TCG. People are just not fully awake yet to realize and kill there darlins, to come to the conclusion what has just been said.. Go figure but my FaB decks are dusty and I will be happy to sell or burn them..

I think FaB is a fantastic game, the best out there IMHO. However, I have some concerns when it comes to the collection aspect of the game as it is a very important component of the success of a TCG. Today, prices are solely driven by the cards playability, it is not unusual to see Majestics being more expensive than CF Legendaries. As soon as a hero reaches LL, cards played in this specific class will see their prices drop significantly. When a new hero is announced, the cards used by this hero class will see their prices increase dramatically. Playing FaB is expensive and it is very frustrating for a new player to see the hero they invested so much time and money in going LL after just a few months - thinking about Kayo of course, even though he's not LL yet. Is getting marvels of your favorite hero really worthwhile considering the fact that prices will drop immediately after that hero goes LL? I know that heroes will still be playable in the LL format but...is it really going to happen? Is the LL format really going to be a thing? Who will want to play Kayo when they can play Lexi, Chane, Briar or Starvo? LSS needs to find the right compromise between players and collectors to keep the game healthy, I really want this game to last for as long as possible.
@Possu816 ай бұрын
I think this is how it's supposed to go. Mtg was same in early 2000. Cards not in standard went from 20$ to 2$ etc.
@ftgrimm10165 ай бұрын
The game is healthy as it is, collectors have CF legendaries, extended arts, fabled and marvels. Let the players play with the cards and the meta decided the value of a card meant to be play. IMO the bad side of LSS/FaB is the products they sell, outside of the boxes, the blitz decks and now the Armory decks (with low supply), there is not enough variaty of producs for different kinds of people and for all budgets.

So, that same day one of the guys that teache me Unlimited was going to take a how to play Lorcana from another group in the store so I decided to stay, and we played Lorcana, easy, fast and most important FUN, my family loved it, my friends loved it. And I will play Unlimited but just my deck probably 2 and that´s it, our main TCG will be lorcana, I have 3 decks so far, Hades titans. Idk about Grand Archive. I don't see a lot of anything about it online and most of the LGS's near me have dropped it already. And while they aren't likely to be the next Pokemon or MtG, I think Mythik TCG and Nostalgix are great smaller games to look into!

how about Digimon? Alpha Clash?

I mentioned alpha clash briefly in the video, and I'm pretty neutral on Digimon ATM. It has continued to sell consistently but very rarely played at the LGS's is in my area

@@Asteroid-Destroyer-b4h if you're referring to one piece, there is no way that that is the dark horse of TCGs. It is one of the top four in the world!

One piece is really good but it’s not played anywhere near me. Same with Lorcana And flesh and blood Pokémon it is

Fab does have one weakness. Products. Outside of released sets and maybe round the table, fab has done a terrible job with intro/unique products. Blitz decks are bare minimum, classic battles was a thing, armory decks (while playable) have so few bells and whistles on top of obscurity, and finally the blitz deck bundle for MST (though given it isn't out yet I'll hold off opinions on it until we see sales data). Hopefully, the new first strike decks fix this problem, and we can truly see FaB shoot to the moon and unlock the astronaut hero😅

Until One Piece dies down. I see more longevity in Lorcana than One Piece. Pokémon and Disney are always going to appeal to kids. One Piece is more centered around older people.
