Changes Coming i am a single income HH too btw-- i do a payment plan like Klarna or Afterpay to split up payments in 4 - every two weeks on payday- and that worked better for me rather than plunking down a large anount all at once. That way at least you can try a couple??

@Changes Coming - I'm a single household, too. (I'm 65, but I have cancer and I've been drawing my Social Security and retirement funds for 14 years.) I can't afford to shell out $80-$150 for a foundation anymore either, but on ebay there are many Sellers who decant high-end foundations. I just bought four sample packets of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk for $9.99, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder travel size for $10.00 and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush travel size for $11.00. You'd be surprised how much product you get for the money. It's a good way to try them without having to sell your firstborn. I had purchased a sample stick of the Hourglass stick foundation for $9.99 to try it. I really loved it and was contemplating spending $46.00 for the full size when I found my shade brand new sealed in the box for $25.00 on ebay! I do the same thing with high end mascaras and I save a fortune. I hope you can take advantage of the good buys, also.

I agree with you on the Sisley and Chanel. I am also loving BR skin teint - ABW said it was like the Chanel Water Fresh tint in how it just gives a nice veil and I agree with her assessment on that, plus it blurs my pores. But my favorite favorite foundation is Chantecaille Future Skin. It just makes my skin radiant and natural looking and covers what I need it to. I love when you and Mona do lists. :)

Excellent choices! My top 5 are Surratt dew drops, Guerlain L'Essentiel, Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra (first 14 ingredients are the same as the TF which I will eventually try), Shiseido Synchro Self Refreshing, and Mac Face & Body. Honorable mentions are Fenty Hydrating, ABH Luminous and LaMer Soft Fluid. I like the LaMer Restorative Skin Tint more in the summer.

I only have two foundations: Dior Forever Matte (0N) and Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick (Porcelain). I really enjoy seeing your videos and the cosmetics you test and love. I'm not into "radiance" makeup finishes and I need medium coverage, so most of the foundations you love wouldn't work for me. I like seeing your picks anyway. You have beautiful skin.

Nordstrom has the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate on sale. However, not all shades are available. I want this foundation and will have to buy without a sale. I also love my La Mer foundation. Thanks for the roundup. I have two of your favs. I do like the Surratt but the problem is in getting a shade match. I got samples of 3 and found it a tad dark and in a store bought 1.5 which was the right tone match but too light, which I only realized after applying a full face at home. Mixing it with the #3 samples yielded a much better match. So, I ended up buying 3 also. I have the La Mer tint. It's OK, but I only use it if I am putting on foundation to go out late in the day when I will only get very little late day sun exposure. If I will be wearing foundation during the day, I want to apply my heavy duty elegant European sunscreen under and I don't want to take a chance that the sunscreen ingredients in the foundation will conflict with the sunscreen which I know has stable, effective ingredients.

Hello Michele! Based on your review last June of Chanel’s top five releases (so far) of 2019, I purchased the Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint in the shade Light. It is like bottled magic! I am 66 and not trying to hide my wrinkles, but not wanting to enhance them either. Most foundations from luxury on down the line make me look like I am wearing a mask, so I have been wearing tinted moisturizer for the last few years. But honestly it’s been so hard to find a shade match. The Chanel shade Light is my skin color! It’s just crazy how good my skin looks when I wear it; my skin but better. Polished, plumped and perfect. I can’t thank you enough for the review. Oh and the tip about breaking up the pigment bubbles with my hands has certainly saved me a lot of product! 👍🏻

bougie for sure! I love your makeup on this video - nice match of blush, lip and eyes. It’s so warm in so cal most of the time I just find bare minerals just prevents the unwanted “glow” during warm months especially as well as blurring pores and texture.

I have loved wearing the Chanel water fresh tint throughout summer but I can’t wear it daily as it breaks me out a little on my cheeks. I think it could be the fragrance though I don’t really have sensitive skin. It’s such a nice product for hot days and although it isn’t like a true foundation, it does even out skin tone and has a lovely cooling effect on application.

Hi Michele, still trying to decide if the Shade and Illuminate is worth buying for me. Doesn't seem like a lot of coverage, but I do like the fact that it's fragrance free. My very sensitive excema face likes the NARS Sheer glow foundation because it's more yellow based and there's no scent. Also the coverage is more medium despite the name sheer glow. I also love the Tom Ford stick foundation when my skin is inflamed.

The TF foundation has some very decent coverage. Definitely a medium coverage for me. I would purchase from a retailer that will take back returns in case you skin doesn't react well to it.

I have mature skin too, I'm 41, but my skin type is much more combination (normal on the cheeks, super oily in the T zone). I also have serious hyper pigmentation after having children so I like more coverage than you but I still want my skin to look like skin. Dior Airflash is my favourite foundation of all time. I held off trying it for an age because I thought it'd be so messy to apply and kind of gimmicky but after I tried it the first time I was hooked. So good.

Guerlain has always been my go-to brand for foundations. I was wearing the Terracotta Joli Teint foundation for a couple years and then switched to their Aqua Nude foundation over the last year. I just recently started using their L'Essentiel foundation and it's perfect for me. 😁❤

I applaud you in being able to pick 5 foundations. All the ones you mentioned I have and love and because I don't have enough foundations and serums, I purchased the Biologique Recherche Serum de Teint in No. 1, and I am liking it. I am using it on its own or under my foundation, and it has this blurring property that it is nice. So that counts as one of my current faves :-O. I'd say if your concern is dryness and/or dehydration you should go for the Kypris. The VB Serum isn't as moisturizing for me, and it's supposed to even skintone which I've only noticed very minimally. I like it a lot, but I like the Kypris products more.

My very favorite foundation for my very mature skin is La Mer; every other foundation I have tried settles in the creases of my face even when I hardly put any foundation in the creases areas of my face. The Tom Ford was one of the worst for settling in the creases. My Laura Mercier , which I love, settles also.

I think that the le beiges water tint actually has a very decent coverage. yes, it's in the light-weight category, it definitely is far from a full-coverage. but on me at least, you can build it up to a nice medium, that somehow still covers nicely and looks very skin-like. I like to use e.g. estee lauder double wear nude (love it), or the ysl all in one glow or, more recently I fell in love with mac's face&body, and I actually think in terms of coverage, if you build it up (you don't have to, obviously), the water tint is on par with these in terms of coverage. which is fine with me. :)

Have u tried the Chanel hydra blue serum? It sounds like a similar sensation as the water tint foundation from Chanel. I haven’t tried it yet since I’m trying to get thru my stash which will prob take longer than planned due to flattening the curve.

I also like a light cover foundationen😃 I always go back to Mac Face&Body,even when I have so many other foundationens,I always go back to the Mac. I also love the La Mer foundationen ,but to get it to work for me,I must use a primer for oily skin under it. I have normal skin,but that one gets oily on me. I also love the Erborian CC cream,love it 🙏🏻 On the daily I use a brand called Lumene,don’t think it is available to the us ? But I use a CC cream from them that gives a light coveredge😃 The Surrat foundationen is on my wishlist 🤞🏻😍

Michele Wang I like a light natural foundationen and Mac F&B is so good and it stays on. I use my fingers to put it on or a beauty blender.

Hey guys!! If any of you are interested in the Surratt Dew Drop foundation, but you have oily skin, it still works!!! I have extremely oily skin and I LOVE that foundation!!! However, I am not looking for a foundation to keep my oils at bay, but rather to look amazing and not break up or look cakey when my oils inevitably break through.
