Great topic! I'm a huge sunscreen wearer - 365 days a year. My top tinted spfs are Color Science Sunforgettable SPF 50 and ELTA MD UV Elements SPF 44. Both are physical sunscreens and play well under my makeup as long as I wait about 15 min for it all to settle in. As far as tinted spf moisturizers and BB creams I like Dr. Jart Premium BB SPF 50, LaMer Reparative Skin Tint. I do really like Chantecaille Just skin tint but it doesn't have a high enough SPF for me to use it as such. I always put that one over another sunscreen. 50 Top 5 Tuesday!!!!!!! Forgot one. I always keep Colorscience or Peter Thomas Roth physical powder sunscreen with me so I can reapply during the day. plus I set my neck and chest with powder sunscreen so it doesn't feel all greasy or sticky. Powder sunscreen is a must to have on hand for me.

I am really loving the Laura Mercier oils free tinted Moisturizer. It has an SPF of 20. I like to layer it over a sunscreen or primer with SPF. It gives me a really nice skin like finish without being greasy.

If anyone is a cooler tone than Michele, Dr Jart Premium BB cream has an SPF 45 and you don’t notice it and it’s so creamy and beautiful on the skin. It’s my #1, beating Chanel, Dior, BareMinerals, Laura Mercier, etc.

YES!!!! Dr. Jart Premium BB cream spf45 in gold packaging (Light shade) is my favorite SPF, it looks grey at first, but it adjusts their color in 3 mins.

You're right about the two ingredients Zinc and Titanium being physical sunscreens. And actually the best options for sensitive skin as well as potency.

I am tempted to try the Armani CC , i love the Luminous Silk foundation and the Power Fabric concealer. I have a very oily nose and the rest of my skin is dehydrated ...it is so hard to find something that works well on both issues .

Hi Michele, check out Suntegrity. I love their tinted spf. It’s a mineral one. Go for the 5 in 1 if you like light natural slight dewy coverage better for dry skin. I personally like the Impeccable Skin because it’s more matte which works on my combo skin.

I love the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer, but you're right about the fragrance. I feel that way about most of Chanel's line, however. I will probably purchase again for the summer.

Hello Michele! If you have dry skin you'll love Guerlain Orchidée Impériale The Brightening & Perfecting UV Protector SPF 50. It has tint to it. It is sooo moisturizing and I can swear my skin looks even better when I wash it off in the evening! If it looks too shiny, try to apply with a sponge.

(Just copied this information from its description =D ) This was the reason why I bought it actually. I didn’t know that it was tinted, I just needed a high SPF and protection from my computer and phone screens light. However, the tint was a nice bonus. I purchased the Chanel les beige skin tint. I love the finish. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I dislike the fragrance so much, though. I get migraines and I wish they would remove the old lady smell. I purchased the Kevyn Aucoin stripped nude skin tint. I hope that one is better. ❤️

Oh great video. I prefer to use such products in the summer when it’s hot and I don’t want to wear foundation. And I’m so glad we have exactly the same skin type. My skin has become sensitive and I need something gentle. I have used a few tinted moisturizers but have not really liked them. Now I have some new options.

Something to consider when choosing sunscreen: oxybenzone and octinoxate have been banned in Florida and Hawaii because their presence in ocean water has proven harmful to the barrier reef.

Other options that are FRAGRANCE-FREE... and maybe even a bit more affordable: (in no particular order of preference) - Resist Super-light Daily Wrinkle Defense by Paula’s Choice. Only comes in a “universal “ tint. - Anthelios 50 by La Roche Posay. Also only one “universal “ tint. - Physical Fusion UV Defense by SkinCeuticals. Also only comes in a “universal “ tint. It’s a bit darker than the others mentioned above, so I mix it a bit with the untitled version (Sheer Physical UV Defense), for my winter skin that’s paler. (In the summer, the tired version is fine, on its own.) - UV Physical (tinted) by Elta MD. Another “universal” shade only. - UV Clear (tinted) by Elta MD. Again only one “universal” shade. - Naked Skin One And Done by Urban Decay. Comes in 4 shades. - Complexion Rescue by Bare Minerals. Comes in many shades. - Prime Time BB Tinted Primer by Bare Minerals. Comes in 4 shades.

Love the Chantecaille one! I should try the Sisley one more time. Put it on at the counter once but it feels a bit heavy on my oily skin (comparing to the Chantecaille). I think I’ll get a sample pack and give it another shot😜

I think a tinted SPF should be able to wear alone as a sunscreen 😄but SPF only indicates protection against UVB, while UVA is the actual big bad wolf. A SPF50 BB cream can provide like no UVA protection sooo it better have something like “broadspectrum” on the packaging or it’s not a complete sunscreen.

Iana Emi yes it would, but if you want to make sure go for Zinc Oxide, according with the FDA it offers extensive protection from both UVA and UVB, when Titanium dioxide offers considerable protection for UVA and extensive protection for UVB.

Last week BOTH Nordstrom and Bloomingdales had the La Mer Reparative Skin Tint.. Back IN STOCK---Both Online and In Stores. They have the shades Fair, Light, snd Light-Medium. Both Stores were out of light and light-medium for about 8 months.

Physical sunscreens such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are good for sensitive or/and acne prone skin. That’s why I can’t use Sisley, La Mer, or Chanel tinted products 😭😭😭 on my bad skin days. So sad but on my good skin days, I do put on Sisley. Love it soooo much. Thanks, Michele. This review inspired me to do some research on UV filters and I think I just found the safest high end sunscreen, Les Beiges All in One Healthy Glow which only uses titanium dioxide! 👌🤩😁🤩😁

Clarissa. Both Nordstrom and Bloomingdales have the La Mer Reparative Dkin Tint Back in Stock. They have the shades, Fair, Light, and Light/Medium. Both stores were out of light and light/mefium for about 8 months but the 2 shades are now back in stock.

Please make sure to put sunscreen all the way to the hairline. I recently had to get a basal cell carcinoma removed at forehead area at the hairline. It started like a little pimple that kept crusting/peeling over. Doctor didn't think it was anything, and then had it biopsied and turned out to be basal cell carcinoma. Scar is not too pretty. I'm now using Colorscience Sunforgettable total protection face shield Spf 50. Applies clear, no white residue. My foundations work well with it.

Thank you so much for this video. I have a question - is it okay to apply a 50 SPF around your eyes (I just re-watched your dedicated video for the Chanel CC Cream)? I always thought this was a bit risky to do, as during the normal day of sweating, etc. the product could migrate to the eyes, becoming a potential eye irritant. I thought these products were not to be used in the eye area and wearing sunglasses was the way to protect the sensitive eye area from outdoor exposure. 🤔 Your thoughts?

That is actually a very good point. I don't wear SPF when I work out because of the sweating into my eyes. I think you're right. I haven't had any issues with the products I talked about and applying it to my eye area, but better safe than sorry. Thank you Gail!

I'm surprised that neither of you mentioned Shiseido's Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector SPF 43. I love it on my dry skin. The shade range is very limited, though.

I find tinted SPFs very confusing- they never produce the right shade and/or coverage for me and adding my usual foundation on top of it is usually challenging too: many formulas don't blend in well enough together or just cancel each other which is even worse. I don't think the chantecaille tinted moisturizer has anything more than light coverage it's not a medium coverage at all & I've heard more than 1 KZbinr say it was medium coverage,it's not, it is very very light coverage,which is fine 4 a tinted moisturizer,I'm jus sick of people saying it's medium coverage wen it's very light coverage
