@@bradjames3105 I still like bluestone depending on the game. You can hit cap mit and prots with just 3 items on Chaac and then build full dmg. I've tried those builds and like them, but you also sacrifice your early game and have almost no MP5.

i think erlang with blue runeforge glyph is bein slept on. So much mitigations, been stomping with him lately. Either deaths toll or warriors (animosity), blue runeforge glyph, berserk, shoguns, then whatever u want

I think basic attack warriors are bit slept on in general right now. I have been playing Gilgamesh his early game isn't great pvp but he has decent pve. Then late game he he is tanky and hits so hard. You win ever 1v1 late game for free except against adcs.

Wukong is my favorite god. I usually go a damage build on him since he can escape easily. I usually go bluestone, jotuun, soul eater, archdruid fury, brawler beatstick or the crusher, and finish with heartseeker

I thought wukong was the best warrior. Was that just because he was good at poking mages? Plus I thought bluestone was the go to starter item for wukong since sundering axe is worse than both bluestone upgrades.

The upgrades are still worse, but axe is super strong now and will dominate the meta. That’s why Wukong isn’t as good now, because the warriors who are better at building it will perform better. Plus most of them have been buffed whereas Wukong hasn’t. You can still play bluestone Wukong though

@@DudeImFonz So why does axe out trade bluestone? If I'm playing a warrior with 3 dmg abilities I get an extra 40 bonus dmg on all my abilities as along as I use them 3 seconds apart. Meanwhile Axe has a 10 second cooldown. Also bluestone affects the minion wave while axe doesn't.

⁠@@DiveBombRebelI’d say that axe is better because of the new buffs. You steal their health and heal yourself think of it as a transfer of health. You also get more prots early. Bluestone is still very good, but if your waiting the full duration of bluestone to wear off (to get the full effect) then you’re staggering your cooldowns which isn’t good for overall damage. The thing about trading into axe is that after two or three procs of axe you’ve stolen like 150 health and early game that’s a lotta friggin damage. You can proc axe at least 3 times between minion waves. If it was harder to clear minion waves in smite bluestone would be more viable.

All the fun and competitiveness in both Paladins and Smite is builds. I've won games on just my builds, tailored to comps and maps. When you make build videos, it takes both the fun and the competitiveness out of the game. Stop doing this. Let people make their own builds and then the ones who understand the game more will have more success. We are babying our player base. Stop doing build videos. It's ruining the game.

Or we're giving people the blueprint to make their builds. By giving them a waypoint, people can make therir crazy builds with the knowledge of why certain items work the way they do. Its already difficult and confusing on finding resources to get better at Smite.

@@dereksparks112 I guess I'm just biased because I don't use peoples builds. If we are already giving them the knowledge of the game, that's what makes the game great. The difficulty is what makes it fun. But I guess this does cater more towards kids and not a 30 year old like myself. There aren't many games left that you need wisdom for, so diluting it by giving everyone the best builds makes the competitive advantage over other nonexistent.

You say yourself that the fun and competitiveness is based on builds, including tailoring them to comps (also, they should be tailored to a lot more than just comps). This video does not give you the ability to tailor your builds. It gives you a starting point. This makes the game much more approachable to new players, people who just don't play that much, and people who have taken a break. If you lose to any of those groups, even if they have been watching videos like this, it is because they are significantly more skilled than you. Personally, a someone who is not a kid and was in masters, but took a year long break to focus on more important things, it's pretty nice to be able to go to KZbin and get a starting point rather than knowing nothing after all of the patches that have occurred while I wasn't playing.
