Love that you made a video on my main role! Great tips bro, as always. I see a lot of people arguing against the poke potential a warrior gives versus the 100 to 0 the want. The poke, cc, and disruption a warrior offers could be what turns a fight for your mage or assassin or hunter to get the last big chunk of health. The best example is Wu Kong. His damage falls of hard but the tickle stick poke, with the slow and then either the knock up or tiger stun frustrates a back line to no end and the ability to escape and heal with a copy just harassing them gives peel for your guardian to cc the rest of the team. Even just being able to isolate a mage in the back and kill them is huge. Kills arent your goal as a warrior. Disrupting the enemy is.

I just wanted to say thank you Raynday, your videos have helped me alot. When I first started a year ago I had no idea what I was doing all I was able to do was feed the enemy team but your videos have made a huge difference for me, I still have a large amount of improving to do but I can actually play and do decently well thanks to everything I've learned from watching you.

This video really helped me alot. I main hunter, so switching to the Warrior role has been rough. However after watching your video and really listening; I played 2 Warrior matches and just shredded. Odin I went 12/2/22 and a Guan Yu I went 12/6/26 with a Quadra. I always had the problem of I wanna wreck and not timing my fights. Choosing the wrong targets or over extending. I just want to sincerely thank you on your videos. They are very helpful, for new people or even for those of ys who have been playing for awhile.

Always love your philosophical talk man! as for the tips I completely agree and theoretically know these things. sometimes I just struggle to apply them in game. this is why I love these top 5's. I end up having a few phrases in my head that I can conjure up mid game to make sure I am doing the right thing, and if not adjust. the CDR is offense is definitely my favorite. when i made that realization I became so much more effective and enjoyed playing warriors so much more. I rarely get jotunns anymore and find it works perfect for the more supportive warriors I tend to play.
@Yawnz28 жыл бұрын
the way you describe the mindset of how to play a warrior is golden. I used to play warriors like an assassin but would get angry because I never did enough damage and died too fast but your jack of all trades reference was spot on. This is a great series man. After doing the God classes you should do conquest roles! Very good video man keep up the great work!

Honestly this video really did help me realize that I was building my warriors a bit bad. Sometimes I could get away with stacking attack on attack on attack with some games, but I usually always did end up blowing up for it. I had a game earlier where I put on about 3 or 4 defense items as tyr and I ended up surviving so long that I out tanked the Ares on both teams. This video helped really put that in perspective for me. My best game WAS the defense stack one, not the all attack all the time games. Thanks raynday!

Dude, I could kiss your freaking brain. I love how when you talk about the roles in smite you're focusing on the mentality one should keep while playing. I love that! I feel, more often than not, that most players I play with in solo hold this type of mentality of wanting to be a hyper carry right out the gate. It just doesn't happen like that. You have understand the roles that each God can play in; as well as have an understanding of the kit of said god. Keep up the great work Rayne. "Learn, Play, Fun, makes this game number one." I always enjoyed the gameplay of guardians and warriors, but warriors were not my strong point, I always fought to put together a build during the matches (need more pen? Maybe CDR is better... or one more defensive item?); with this my warrior games were inconstant. And this video has changed it, made me realize some points that had never crossed my mind, it has expanded my vision of what warriors are and helped me understand the mentality of the role. And yeah, you got me thinking in how to expand that knoledge to my life as well so... Thank you Raynday, this video series is simply amazing, in fact the entire channel is great!
@dukeyxxyz8 жыл бұрын
I have to say thank you for this video. I was going about playing warriors completely wrong. I was just kind of assuming their role was more of a melee version of a carry so it was a bit frustrating charging in and feeling like I wasn't helping my team because I kept missing out on kills and dying. Next time I play as one I'll definitely keep these tips in mind.

I think I really learned a lot from this video. Warriors have typically been one of my worst roles, though I can never seem to position myself right as an assassin, assassin being my worst role. I've always thought that the role of the warrior was that which essentially led the charge, fighting at the front against the rest of the heavy hitter tanky characters, fending them off of the squishies so that the true damage source has time to come out. I never really thought that focusing on a squishy was a warrior's place, but it makes a lot of sense.

Nice to know I've been on the right path when playing warriors. Chaac is probably my favorite God to play as (just feels right to me) and warriors in general seem to hit that sweet spot for me. Great job on this Top 5, looking forward to the next! Maybe hunters?

Another great vid man, Warrior is surprisingly one of my stronger classes. I may only be a master 4 with one warrior but my experience with Tyr has been satisfying, usually running a mix of cooldown, a few defence items and physical power/penetration seems to help me out 90% of the time. Looking forwards to the mage video as I struggle with them the most haha

Great video Raynday. Warriors are my second most played class after guardians. I like tanky gods I guess. Though I also enjoy playing certian assassins as a brawler such as Bastet with warrior tabi, jotun's wraith, shifter's shield, runic or void shield, spirit robe, titan's bane. Less tanky than normal warriors but more damage, but same general goals. I pounce the over the front line, apply bleeds, slows, and lots of damage (especially with cats) to the squishies, then jump right back to safety. You have just enough tankiness to jump in, wreck havok on squishies, and then jump back.

Thank you so much for this video. I play SMITE, and I thought I was doing well when I was playing against AIs as Amaterasu. When I played against players, boy, my first game, because of me (yeaaahh), we lost and one of the players just went off their mouths on a PM, saying how much I sucked and stuff. Aside from that I got assigned in the Jungle (worst ever). Boy I was super wrong... Kept building up on items that give me power, didn't balance out on the defence so much (phys. and magic). And I stayed in the JUNGLE. I was a freaking idiot. Thanks a lot for this list. I'll follow your tips, it's pretty useful. :)

I feel penetration is also very important for warriors along side what you said because they usually have okay base dmg and bad power scaling. Penetration is important to make sure that god can do the dmg that they were meant to.
@jacobbcox19858 жыл бұрын
my best advice for most warriors learn how to blend attack and defense. Shifter Shield is great for this as is one main magic and physical defense bonus so Bulwark of Hope and Breastplate of Valor then something like a Titans Bain or Void Shield with a all around Utility item for offense works perfect. Play conservative and smart play sorta like an Assassin who finds Assassins and Hunter and Mages at their weakest and destroy them. Play from a position of power and you will be amazing. Don't push as hard as most Guardians can or jump foolish like a Assassin does and this will improve your performance. Be selective who you will target and play get in get out and destroy the stragglers.
