OTT has a lot of sex scenes, Gehraiyaan for example. Bollywood avoids it on big screen to avoid the A certificate (akin to NC-17 in US, which in the US is rarely given unless you have like real sex, but in India is given like candies by the dreaded "censor board" even for basic simulated sex). However, the reason you've not seen it is because you've hardly seen any A rated mainstream Bollywood films. Shootout at Wadala with John Abraham & Kangana is one such example starring two big movie stars showing simulated sex on screen.

Sex scenes are possible without full frontal nudity you know. Not saying they are great scenes, but saying they don't exist is a false statement.

I don’t think anyone thinks sex is bad. For Indians it is more of a private matter and something that is not to be displayed publicly. It’s pretty obvious that Hollywood uses nudity and sex to sell tickets more often than not. And then they label it as ‘art’. While Bollywood is mostly crap, there are movie and Tv industries such as that of Turkey and Iran that are capable of making masterpieces without resorting to these cheap tactics to get viewers. They have better shows than GoT without the so called ‘artsy’ stuff!
