I agree with many points of your list and I noticed you too really like their serenades. That's why I was a bit dissapointed that "Serenade of Self-destruction wasn't included. Otherwise it was great :)

Epica es una de las mejores bandas de rock especializadas en el despertar de la conciencia, busca integrar más que dividir y para integrar tienes que ser consciente de esa división. Para mi esta es una lista aceptable solo en parte y lo mejor quizás seria la buena noticia que somos cada vez más los seguidores . Los criterios son muy personales a la hora de elegir mejores temas pero no creo que haya una buena lista sino incluye los origenes, que a lo mejor eran menos trascendentes que lo sean en estos momentos. La verdad es que me diagnosticaron bipolaridad hace años y durante mucho tiempo lo pasé mal, dejé mis pastillas en favor de información y intenté invertir lo que veia. El taichi tu fue mi aliado como filtro de percepción de realidad y Epica se convertiria en "la banda" ya que reunia muchas de las caracteristicas para re-nacer. Me encantan las voces guturales (sombra, ego etc) de Mark y las de mezzosoprano de Simone (luz). Les deseo lo mejor y muchas gracias por colgar esta lista.

I can't put an order for my favorite Epica songs. I can barely put an order to the songs in each album. And of course I can't say that an album is more faorite than the other. Each has its uniqueness and flavor. Lots of songs I describe as perfect (music, lyrics, solo, symphonic, ..). But great effort from you (Y)..

for me is tied between Divide and Conquer and ascension - dream state armageddon on the first place, because i feel like ascension is a fusion of the old epica and the most recent epica, and for me that is just amazing.

Honestly, it's just another catchy Metal song that doesn't truly represent Epica's compositional style. Starts with an epic opening, ends with an epic choir act, but for the most part it just feels like the music in the song was supposed to back Simone's vocals (however, the growling in Storm the Sorrow is epic), and the music doesn't go well with the vocals in harmony where no one backs anyone (especially in their live performances of the song, it simply sounds bad). The song lacks complexity (I am not talking about the lyrics), and Simone sounds bad in her live performances of the song.

That's a weird video to make, considering there (probably?) aren't even 100 Epica songs to choose from. But since I like this band a lot as well, I just played a nice little game: listen to the video tabbed out and recognize the songs. Ended up getting a 47.5/50 score. I knew perfectly well what "In All Conscience" was, but couldn't remember the title for the life of me. And then I just didn't know "Fight Your Demons" and "Banish Your Illusion" at all, because yay rare bonus tracks etc. annoying marketing whores smh. They sound nice, would really love to be able to buy a compilation of all of them one day... If I were to make my own top 50 songs, it'd probably be a lot different (most notably: "Cry for the Moon" would be (high) in it, "Fools of Damnation" would certainly be out, and "Canvas of Life" as my favorite Epica ballad would be much higher), and that's just a bit too much anyway imo, haha, so here's just my personal album tier list. Alice Dou I agree. I actually don't like that that song is so famous. It means they play it in every concert, consuming time they could use playing another of these awesome songs. Anyway, just my opinion. People seem to love it, I find good, but after listening to it so many times it gets boring.
