Had a spine injury about 20yrs ago. Finally got a like new Ruger m77 chambered in 25-06 wanted one for 40 years and shouldn't have waited. Low recoil and shoots like a laser.

Was sighting in a 3006 the guy on the range next to me commented on the recoil. Had just finished sighting in a 12 ga with 3in slugs after that the 06 was nothing.

For people complaining the .270 Win shouldn't be on this list b/c it has too much recoil ... Typical .243 Win deer cartridge uses a 100gr bullet. A .270 Win cartridge with loaded w/ 100gr bullet (e.g., Norma EVOSTRIKE, Nosler Accubond, Hornady CX, Hammer Hunter) from same weight rifle has same recoil energy & velocity w/i 0.2 ft-lb & 0.1 fps. You can load the .270 Win with 100 gr bullets that the recoil sensitive shooter can use on Whitetails and still use it with 150 gr bullets on elk. Factory ammo from Norma (96 gr EVOSTRIEK for Whitetails) is at most 1 ft-lb more recoil energy and 0.5 fps more recoil velocity than typical 100 gr .243 Win.

I handload reduced recoil .270 ammo for hunting whitetail and hogs. You can also buy reduced recoil ammo for heavier recoiling rifles.

Recoil is relative to momentum. Multiply velocity by the weight of the projectile. Done simple as that. 45 acp can have relatively the same recoil as 223.

270? has higher recoil than 12 pounds. The 7mm08 probably does too. 6.5 grendel and 350 legend should be on the list. Maybe 6.5X55 should be around 12 pounds I think.

You left out many cartridges that fit your videos premise. You should get a human being that knows a little bit about guns, not some computer program. When talking about the 243 you claimed the case was a shortened 308 case. Exactly wrong on this. The 243 was made from the 308 case but in the necking down the case became longer. The 243 is 2.045 long., The 308 is 2,015 long. That makes the 243 .030 longer than the 308. Your computer program made other mistakes on pronunciation the 270 cartridge is not pronounced 2 hundred and 70 it's just 270. I quit listening at this point.

Many people say that the 270 has a fairly high amount of recoil. I would say that you should have left that caliber off your list...and replaced it with the 243.

There is a big error on this list. To convert a 5.56/.233 based AR-15 to 300 HAM'R only requires changing the barrel and the magazines (uses .300 AAC Blackout magazines) . kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6Smaouhf8iGrc0 Also, to not have the 6mm ARC on this list is perplexing.
